I love DV! But DV should have gone somewhere in Orleans Place with its French name, and SW and HB should have stayed where they were. in my opinion, Man... If I only had alot of money and owned that park.....
I agree and the thing is it could fit in OP, but Power dive, the burger joint, and the cliffhanger would have left earlier. (Burger Joint is still open)
I agree with SFGAMNUT. I thought about GAm putting a ride over that pond. Once flying coasters came around I thought that would have been a great place for one. They really should have put S:UF over the pond. I bet it would be a better ride if they did.
Ya. That would be alot cooler if it was over a pond. And if they did get a floorless rollercoaster what one do you think it would be or would it be an original?
I would like an original just because it will be something new and different. I really dont care about setting records or anything. Im fine just with getting a good ride.
The picnic grove is used for Fright Fest, but maybe then can take most of it out and put a coaster there if they wanted. But I would like to see a flat ride.
my brother just called me from the iron wolf exit line...he informed me that an iron wolf ride op told him that shockwave is being moved to st. louis. obviously this is still heresay as ride ops arent really known for being 'in the loop' (gotta love a bad pun!) but i just thought that i would post it here as it at least has a somewhat credible source. we shall see.
I heard that rumor last year from some guy in a line. I also heard it was going to SFKK. I dont know why anyone would buy it since its rough and it will have the same fate as it did at our park. I bet its time would come faster at the next park it goes to if it does get put into another park that is.
Turn this around guys, this is quickly becoming a worthless rumor topic. And why would your brother waste his time to call you from at the park? Tell him find something better to do, like ride coasters and bring you with, rather than call you aboud what the Dippin Dots guy says.
I really don't care where it goes, just as long as it doesn't get scrapped. Sure it may be rough, but I have ridden rougher. I would like to see it in one of the following places:1.) Back up at SFGAm2.) SFNO3.) Wynadot LakeWell, I know that they won't put it back up in its own "home", but I doubt It will go to St. Louis. Don't they already have a type like it? I think that their Ninja is an Arrow Looper, just a different model.in my opinion, It needs to go to a park/property where Six Flags lacks Attractions. SFNO or Wynadot Lake are two good places becuase they have little and I think SW would attract crowds to either place.I am about 90% sure KK won't get it. They had hardly any space to squeeze in GL, and to put in SW...You've got to be kidding me.Who knows, with the SF ride swap program beginning again as people have been saying, maybe some park will be getting it and re-constructing it again next season...
If they were to bild it again were would they build it. I don't now I think it would be cool if they put it in the picnic grove area. With all the water rides schockwave would fit in great with its blue color.
Sadly it will not happen. This is becoming just like the thread at coasters2k, we all know it wont happen, it would make more sence if they just left Shock Wave and built Superman where all you guys say Shock Wave should go.
It's not how high or how fast you build the roller coaster it's how smooth you build it!
Wow, some of you have alot of hopes and dreams. The one that sticks out is thinking that there is alot of empty space behind Theatre Royale and Roaring Rapids. Take the train through that area and you will see that hardly any space is back there. Constructing a coaster over that pond will NEVER HAPPEN!!!! People's backyards border that pond and they will fight any expansion over there.Heck, when V2 was being proposed , alot of residents complained that would be to close to them. Why do some of you think the Picnic Grove is a waste? Is it because you never had the opportunity to utilize it? (besides Frightfest). Its a very well-themed , relaxing place for private outings that the park makes money off of.While we have lost some rides in recent years, the park has also kept some of the flats from the Marriott era.1. Orbit2. Triple Play3. Hometown Fun Machine4. Fiddler's Fling5. Whirligig6. Ricochet (Big Top)7. East River Crawler (Lobster)We seem to forget the addition of SWT brought a few new flats to the mix.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
From what I know, part of the agreement with V2 and the residents was the park had to build a noise-blocking wall. Thats why 2 years ago there was all kinds of earth moving equipment making a big dirt hill (now grass and Shockwave covered.)
