Recently, I've been to Indiana Beach and Cedar Point. They are both great parks and both have miniature golf courses, at a separate fee of course. So this brings me to my question: Why has Great America never put in a miniature golf course? I feel that one would make a great contribution to our park because of the following reasons:
* They are a flat rate to install, cost almost nothing to maintain.
* A lot of families like to mini golf, so it would bring in a lot of much-needed money.
* They don't take up much space at all, one could easily be fit into the park.
I'm just wondering about anybody else's opinions on this issue.

Nice idea. That would be cool if they put one on an island in yankee harbor by IMS and put the lighthouse on top. It could be new england/cape cod themed or pirate themed, I guess.

If you can think of a good place where I think it's a great idea. It would be an excellent way to generate revenue as it would probably pay itself off in it's first year alone.

Six Flags had that thing going with the indoor mini golf place across the street last year. It was a coupon in the season pass booklet. I don't know if they still have that going on this year.
I think Dave and Tom went there, they could probably comment more on it.
Monster Golf! That place is awesome, but really small. All those glow in the dark monsters, fun times! I bet six flags could do one that was pretty cool too. I love mini-golf, I'd do it.
Mini golf reminds me of the days when I played RCT and how they had labrynths. I think they should add in an area for "promenades" With a maze and some mini-golf, perhaps a few benches and a fountain, you know, to make up for what they did to the other fountain. What you don't understand you can make mean anything.
in my opinion Monster Golf was the biggest waste of money ever! All the holes were basically the same, and there were no slopes, just little curves. The theming was very cheesy.
BTW, any one see the commercial for it? It sounds more like a used car dealer commercial lol. "Nobody, nobody beats our prices"... or somehting like that lol. Back on topic, I like the idea about in Yankee Harbor.
I agree on the commercial, they could've made that much more interesting. The cheesy theming is what makes it rock! It changes almost every time I go, which is only three times. Nonetheless, I think the crappy holes are part of why great america should make a mini-golf course, they'd have more of a budget to make a real hole with automated things like opening and closing doors. What you don't understand you can make mean anything.
I'm guessing if they did make a mini-golf course it would be looney Tunes Themed. I'd put it Next to HH behind SSA. With a small entrance in the park and a small entrance in the parking lot. It would be for an extra fee of course.
But, yeah, I definatley would put one in, and It would cater to families as well. It would be a good investment for the park...
I think that it should be added where Winner's Circle is. I rarely see anyone over there and there is a lot of open space.

One of the things about mini golf is that it can be found all over the place. In my town we have 2 minigolf places. Rides like the flats and rollercoasters are a bit more exotic. I don't think that minigolf really fits in.
Now don't get me wrong, I like the idea of adding a mini golf attraction, but don't take out anything else like gokarts, or a flat to add it. Also, if Six Flags did add it, then they would most likely charge too much. That's a turn off to people who can just go golf closer to home for 1/2 the price.
I love Monster Golf!! When I 1st went in there I thought to myself "this was a really fun idea for them to make" My nephew begged and begged and begged until finally I gave in to taking him there after Six Flags one night and we had a blast. He espcially liked it because we went after Fright Fest so he was out until like 1:30am that night
I do agree that the holes are really basic and pretty straight but I actually like that because I am HORRIBLE at mini golf.
