Back when I was WAY younger they used to have a tram in the parking lot that took you right to the front gates.. actually my dad was just asking about it a few days ago because he hasn't been to SF in over 10 years. I don't think that they will have one in the near future. Most places don't offer this service anymore.
i don't think the park needs a tram service. It's not a big deal to walk to the front gates. i've walked from the back of the back lot to the front, it's not that big of a deal.
I would like to see tram service return. Obviously, you wouldn't have to use it, but it would be a nice convenience for those that do. (You'd also have happier customers, which is a good thing.)
I wish they would do what disneyworld does and have employees directing parking and just make everyone fill in each row as they come into the parking lot, then have a tram for the overflow lot. That would never happen though.
SFGAm used to have everything mentioned. Then the budgets were cut and gone were the Trams, people directing you to parking spaces, and happier customers

Even if they never return the trams (which would be nice from the backlot), they still really need to address the backlot people walking across the main drag into the front lot.
If anyone has been to SFSTl, that is one way they could address the problem. Move the tollbooth a little further toward the entrance, and then after paying to park, have the main drag immediately turn into the backlot and get rid of the existing one. Basically turn the whole parking lot into one.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
I don't know if there are any of your trams left over in the employee lots up there, but down at SFSTL they bring out the Trams as Frightfest decorations.
My favorite is the tram that they put on the walkway along thunder river between the two covered areas. It is filled with skeletons wearing a certain Disney Rodent's hats.
Come to think of it, I don't remember SFSTL ever having tram service. What are the chances that these are Trams from your park? I know a few other things from SFGAM have ended up in the boneyard down here. Just a thought.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
