Dude, Where's My Car?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Dmrbug on April 30th, 2005, 5:51 pm
Any one else have to hunt for there car when they left the park? They took down the numbers on the light posts. I hope they get some kind of marking in the lot so I don't get lost any more.

They also didn't put the rows back (A, B, C) on the ground like they had before because they repaved it.

I was a little confused with the new layout the lot had. It's alot tighter now then it used to be....took me 2 swings to park my van in a spot since it has horriable turning radius. The rows are alot closer together then they used to be. I did notice however that preferred parking was gone :).

I had no trouble finding the car. I knew pretty much where my dad parked, and the parking lot was pretty empty when we were leaving so it was easy to find.

Dave, your brother is going to so some serious damage with that Van.

Anyway, the parking lot is going to be pretty interesting once the summer comes.

1.Get your keyless entry (if you have one, I wish I did)
2.Raise it into the air
3.Continue pressing the "alarm" button while running frantically around the lot until you hear your car.

Or you could be like me and ride Sky Trek Tower once a day to realize where you parked.

Anyone tell me if they rectified this problem yet? If not I'm going to park all the way in the back and walk.

Its very useful for meeting up with others to have numbers on the poles.

I'm awfuly sure the parking numbers/letters will come back. As it stands, I don't think they have the lamp posts up in the parking lot again. If that's the case, then the return of the letters will most likely come with the return of the light poles. Six Flags isn't trying to play a nasty prank on us, just give them time (perhaps they are waiting until they can pave all the parkinglot (area near Hurricane Harbor) before erecting the lamp posts to save money).

It's also not too crowded this time of year, so they probably think it's not a big deal.
