Happy Birthday!

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Batman turns 11 today. Time flies. I remember when it was new, and I wasn't tall enough to ride it and thought it was the scariest thing there, along with Shockwave. I'm glad that I didn't have to ride it! I still had to wait in line, though.

Happy Birthday, Batman. I remember the same things about Batman and American Eagle. It was more that my parents didn't want me to ride American Eagle, but gave the green light. Time does fly.

God 11 years old...It still feels new to me lol. I remember waiting like 4 hours for it opening year (not sure if it was opening day or not). But I barely made it on at almost exactly 54".

oh wow. That coaster doesnt really show too many signs of ageing. The track is smooth and the cars work fine. I can only hope that it will stay fast, smooth, and sweet for years to come :D

Man 11 years already. I was 5 when the ride first opened. I remember when the lines were about 4 hours too. I wasnt tall enough to go on it and my dad always wanted to go on it since it was a brand new type of experience. He never went on it because the lines were 4 hours and he felt like it wasnt worth the wait. He finally went on it last year. I dont know why he waited that long. If I was tall enough I would have gotten in line no matter how long the wait was. I used to cry so much when I was little because I wasnt tall enough to go on Batman Iron, Wolf, and Shockwave. I was always sad when I went there, it was like the rides were mocking me because I wasnt tall enough to ride them  . Finally I was tall enough to go on them and I rode them a few times in that day. That was one of the best days I ever had the park.

they didn't do anything for it but they said it on one of the commercials or something. they advertised and said something like "come ride blah blah blah and celebrate batman's 10th anniversary"

Geeez, I feel like an old geezer. Better bust out the gerital and proceed around the park with my walker. :lol:I was 20 when Batman first opened and at that age I was tall enough. :)
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Hello, and Happy Birthday to B:TR! Still a great coaster, getting up there in the years, lol. It's almost a teenager. B&M knew what they were doing 11 years ago, and have only expanded on that today!
