Coaster Riding: Day or Night?

Coasters at night are awesome. I've been on TTD 3 times at night, that's definitely the best ride at night. MF, V2, Vu, Bull, BTR, and Raptor are also awesome at night.

SFGAM isnt near a lake? about 5 miles to the east is one of the largest fresh water lakes in the world.... place your bets on the name of that one??

ill give you a clue...Lake Michigan? lol

anyway, the best night rides are Batman,Raging Bull,Dejavu and V2 are in my opinion the best night rides.

After this past Sat, I'd definately go with night!
We rode Viper, Bull, American Eagle, and Demon in the dark. Demon was pretty cool, darkeness makes that lighted tunnel so much brighter, and the face rock is all lit up! Viper was just running nuts, probably the wildest ride I've ever had on it. Eagle was pretty cool in the dark, and Bull was just awesome, getting to look down on the park at night is just too cool!!

Otherwise, I've ridden Batman, Superman, and Iron Wolf at night on Nov 2nd. The darkness added with the rain made it even better!

I'm suprised nobody gave a reason that the coasters run faster at night.. It's one of my main reasons!

Last time I was at the park I rode Viper's second train of the day (first circuit w/riders for the train) and it was SLOOOWW .. hearing comments on other threads makes me think it wasn't just because of the early ride - like I had assumed.

Is Viper running slower then normal throughout the day? Or is this all mental?

My best night rides this season so far came during CAD #1, I got on everything but Superman, RC, and Whizzer in the 2 ½ hours of darkness, including 5 AE rides at the end to finish it off.

Something also totally cool at night is Giant Drop, all the lights are so pretty.

My best night ride was when I got on TTD for the first time at around midnight. Its the best ride in the dark period.

MF is awesome in the dark too but that would be my second best ride in the dark.

I agree! TTD is awesome at night! But I love any coaster at night...I dont know why, its just more fun!

Why is Viper so cool at night. My friend says that it's cool. I want to know why.

I rode alot at night: BTR, V2, Demon, Deja Vu, Ragin Cajun, Raging Bull, Viper, AER, Giant Drop, Whizzer, Orbit, Triple Play, King Chaos, Sky Trek Tower, and SUF all this year at SFGAm, and they are much better at night than day. Out of all of those, Demon has the best night ride by far.

Yeah i love coasters at night in the dark, but i also love when they have no lines at night in the dark. So coasters after dark is kindof stupid. Its more like one coaster after dark.

I love rides at night. So much more fun in my opinion. Just the atmosphere is awesome. It's my favorite part of the day.

Corey you said you liked rides at night about a year ago - funny someone pulled out this old topic. At Cedar Point I don't think TTD is much better at night. I'd ride MF at night over TTD any night just for the plunge into nothing.

TTD is great because you get disoriented when you launch. The plunge on MF is awesome and I love the tunnels.
