Six Flags TV

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby highroller13 on July 9th, 2004, 7:39 am
This has to be the craziest idea I had come up with but, I'll see what you all think.

Lets say that six flags bought a cable television station. And what they do is go to each six flags park in America and film from opening to close. They film a different park each day. Maybe ask a few people if its alright to film their day at the park, and have the camera follow them. Get some shots of each area. talk to people in the ride lines. Maybe some POV's, and basically show how fun it would be to go to Six Flags. It would be like an all day long commercial. In the early morning hours they could show maintinance crew at work, and interview a few ride ops. Possibly discuss the rides with the ride ops. The possibilities are endless. It would basically showcase each Six Flags park, and show people what a great franchise it is.

I personally would love it, but maybe I'm a nut. So what do you all think, its it good or bad. Or give suggestions about it.

That is a crazy idea, but I would love it. Then I would have a perfect reason to have my parents get cable TV.

Of course, you'd have more than one park.

The whole day seems a little long for me. If they had hour segments, that would be cool. They could actually do this. My brother watches a stupid airline show where they follow people traveling.

Mr. Six should have a side-kick like Penn and Teller.

They could probably have regular shows too. I doubt Six Flags would Buy a cable station just for advirtising. They could show WB movies. Old Episodes of STARGATE maybe. And Maybe some Original Series or Movies. But yeah. All day Six Flags would Rock.

If they had commercials on the station for other things than Six Flags, it could actually be a money-maker.

These ideas for coaster channels and such come up a lot. Even though I would watch the channel I don't think many more people will. Sure you will have people planning trips to the local six flags but that will be it. When I show my semi-coaster fan friends coaster videos, the get bored about half-way through. Though, maybe they can have one six flags park a week and have a show like that on the Discovery channel.

Six Flags TV would be nice, however, Roller Coaster TV would be better because they wouldn't be limited to Six Flags parks they could do Cedar Point too.

They could make it a pay channel like G4TechTV and some of those movie channels. Anyway, I think it'd be pretty awesome to see regular people's day at SF parks (though they'd probably cut out the part when they get pissed that a ride isn't open :)).

That would be awesome. They could have warner brothers cartoons like scooby doo on in the morning, and basically be like a 6 hour cartoon network, and have normal shows during the day, maybe play music videos, and have comedy and crap at night. They could also have a half hour segment in the morning about a park getting ready for openning, then have a segment during the day an hour long, then a half hour one at night about shows and parades or whatever. They could also have park cams in between tv shows.

It would be cool for about an hour then you would realize that you just wasted an hour watching some of the most boring tv ever.

Not really, for those of use who don't go to six flags every other day it would be the next best thing to being there, and I think lots of people would watch it.
