Lets see here, like I allways say anything is possible; now off to my list:
1-You could fit a whole new territory inbetween Viper and Whizzer. Or put it a Custom Coaster in there, and have entrance by SSA, and Go Carts.
2-You can have a nice out and back coaster with its entrance by the SSA shuttle and have the track tournaround behind Southwest Ampitheater...
3-Then we can do what Paramount's did and take out Ice Mountain Splash/Yankee Clippper and put a coaster there.
4-This one would be complicated but I can see it happening, Entrance before the bridge by V2 Have a cable lift hill and the track would make a gaint circle aroun picnic grove.
Well, I didn't read all of these so I don't know if its been mentioned, but there is a lot of open land by sky Trek tower, stargate and the go karts. They could squeeze a nice sized ride there.
Papas wrote:/\ There used to be a ride in that Garden in Hometown Square across from Orbit. Probably not something you'd ride though.
Bottom's Up if I'm correct
I think it's the 'airplane' ride that used to sit there. The firetrucks sat not too far from that spot. Bottoms Up used to reside where the Orbit currently cycles.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
A couple of notes and all of you have great observation. "I'll just say wait until you see where the next Major Coaster goes you will not beleive it." If we move The Wall we could bring back a flat like the himalaya that was once there. As for our old Carolsel I really don't think we will ever see it up at Great America again. It's for Sale!!!! I also want to point out the Looney Tunes National Park could be home to several new childrens rides, it's a big big waste of land. Expand they can Expand they will and don't worry Expantion will not kill.
in my opinion they do need a couple new kiddie rides, i bring my sister, and shes tire of CCN within a good 1-2 hours, and looney toons are is just blah!
As stated before, there is a lot of room in the park, but they cannot ruin the theming in the park to put new rides in, if they want to put them in over through the trees, let it be, but just don't ruin the theming and make the park look like nothing but rollercoasters
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
I agree with a earlier poster that a water park, if possible, would be a great addition to the park.
From having visited parks like PKI/PKD/SFSTL it is great to have a water park in the park as part of general admission to cool off and it also reduces wait times for the rides.
But i dont think there is enough land to do this unless they did some major revamping of the park which likely wouldnt be cost-effective.
What i think the park should do is get rid of the go-karts/shuttle and build a interactive dark ride and make the pictorium into a theater that would have a 3d/4d tpe show with movint seats w/different effects, like muppet vision/honey i shrunk the audience etc. With batman/superman or bug bunny and friends they have alot of material for either of the above ideas.
I don't know about PKI and PKD, but the reason why SFStL and SFKK have a waterpark is because they have less roller coasters and less flats to choose from. I am sure you can fit a waterpark in the park, but they won't do that unless they take out rides. SFOG has a waterpark separate from the park because they also have enough rides. On top of that, they sold the land across the road. Also, Gurnee has already or is getting a new indoor (I think it's indoor) waterpark.
Yes, I would love a waterpark because rides wouldn't be as packed. The waterpark would take a lot people.

Unlike CF, Six Flags actually has a load of character options besides the ultra boring, cheesy, Peanuts characters that CF uses.
Six Flags may soon get the rights to even more characters as Time warner is expected to buy Mgm within the next two weeks. (there are quite few, Tomb Raider comes to mind)
I'd just like to wait and see what Black comes up with next, and where it will be located.
You can't fill up every empty space in the park with rides/attractions. Then the park will end up looking like a dump.
Like Cedar Point
I thought that Six Flags bought land across the highway to build a waterpark.
I think if they put in a parking garage that had about 10 floors it would cost at least two million dollars and they could put it by the pick up area and Superman. They could keep the overflow lot too.
With that much remaining land they could put in at least two Raging bull sized coasters. Maybe one more and all the other stuff that could be sqeezed into the park.
They once had the land across the highway, and a hotel/ waterpark was proposed, but they were given a deadline of when to build it, and when it wasnt built by last year, Sf sold it.
I don't mind the idea of SF owning rights to viacom, mgm, or what not but think of it this way. If any sf parks started to put up themes with tomb raider, spongebob, ect. you'd be in "competition" with other parks.
Example: SF is the only chain that has rights to the Looney Toones/WB (I Believe). Now, if CF got rights and Paramount got rights and Universal got rights for Looney Toones/WB, do you see where you're headed? All theme parks will be like every other theme park when it comes to the characters around the parks.
Good Point, they already have a Sponge Bob ride at SFGAdv. The thing is that you have Universal Studios which makes almost all their rides after movies, and you have Disney which makes all their rides after Disney stuff. Six Flags is not a major motion picture company or like Disney. Six Flags has to "borrow" from others.
It would be great if SF bought rights to use Jurassic Park, Spiderman, or The Mummy. It won't happen though. The thing is that I consider SF to be more a "thrill" park than a "theme" park. This does not mean that they don't have any theme, it's just not as much as the other two.

Even if Time Warner buys MGM that doesn't have anything to do with SF, or at least not anymore.

Like what Wisconsin Dell's has, a Kalihari(sp?) Resort type water park?
I would sure like to see what Ga does in the next few years, hopefully they don't remove any major coasters or rides. They could put a coaster behind Yankee Harbor and Mardi Gras, remove that 'Animal Theatre' and make picnic grove smaller, or build around it, also in that area they can destroy like some 200 or 300 employee parking spaces for the nesscary(sp?) room back there.
