How many people does the park hold?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I am curious on how many people (non-employees) the park takes in on a normal operating day (not too crowded, but crowded enough) at it's ! peak !. For instance SUF will be 40 min, Demon no line, IW 20, D Vu' 40, RB 30, and so on with roller coasters. For the flats, maybe you have to wait once.

SUF is supposed to take 1200 (I believe) people an hour. So I come up with (800 for 40 min line). RB has more rows for two trains (800 for 30 min line), IW 350, D Vu' 400, V2 500, Viper 200, Am E 200, Demon 40, RC 100, Whizzer 400, and BTR (800 with two trains around 60 guests) goes quite fast. I come up 4590 guests for roller coasters.

For flats combined with kids rides (not including water rides) I'll be more narrow. I count around 30 give or take flat and kids rides. I'll go with 35 people per ride. Some rides have less and some have more people. I count 1050.

Roaring Rapids 300, Splash Water Falls 100, and Logger's Run 300. (Ice Mountain Splash is usually not open. I count 700 people.

Lastly, you have to count the people going to the I think four or five shows and just walking or sitting or eating (in park) or playing games or in the shops around the park. Let's say 150 per show comes to 600 and I would say 600 doing those things.

Now this is just an estimate, so don't quote me on this. Do you think I am over or under?

As a total I come up with
- 7540 -

Also, I was if anyone knows if the counters were set to 0 at the beginning of the year or after the ride reaches a certain amount of people. I read Condor had some 90000 people and I don't think that there's anymore room to put more digits.

i think after you include all the people that are walking around in the park, it is usually 12,500 on a not too crowded but not empty day

I believe the park hold well over 40,000 people at once. Doesnt happen much though.
I'd consider 'crowded' 22,000+.
Also most queue lines are designed to take about an hour when full.

I think total park capacity is 40,000-50,000. Not sure what combined total ride capacity is though, never really looked into it (something for me to do after Timbersfest) :)
