Quite frankly I'm not too thrilled with the yellow paint. I'm sure they painted it yellow because most of the other Batman's are midnight blue or black, with SFoT being yellow as well. The dark blue color was so menacing, it looked like a ride that meant business. After all isn't Batman the Dark Knight? Of course I know that the ride itself will be the same intesity as always but the dark color made it all the more enticing.
I remember going through Orleans Place on opening day 2003 and seeing S:UF's smallness compared to ShockWaves dominatingness. Anyway, S:UF is a much better done ride, and I dont notice how small it is now so i'm sure we'll get use to yellow B:TR.
BTW S:UF was a great addition.
The painjob does look nice, and it makes the coaster look new. But when it had graffiti, it made the coaster look old and the theming was better. Maybe they will put more stuff up on the walls. In my opinion, I like the graffiti, because it gives you something to look at when in line....
The Yellow does look kinda goodbut isnt Batman the Knight of Darkness and NOT the God of Sunshine. I mean the Black is what set ours apart from every1 elses and they took the graffiti away. It looks so...Not Batman....
Batman's paint is really peeling bad. There were chunks the size of my fist on the ground. Mainly from the top of the track where the wheels come in contact. I think the slight roughness of the chips made Batman a bit louder.
Yeah... At first I didn't care for it. From pictures I thought it looked really bad and wanted the black back. But, now that I've seen it in person, I really think it looks kind of cool. It's new, different, and fresh. If only V2 had a different color scheme, then it'd be perfect. Those two are just a little too similar...but I can definitely live with it. Also, I thought I'd be disappointed that they removed the junk yard themeing from the queue, but now that it's gone, it does look a little nicer. Also, were there new railings on the exit ramp?
I saw the thing in person today, and, MARQUETT colors?! Geeze, the blue is nice, but gold? I find it disgusting, it now reflects light, so when i was on raging bull, batman was shining in my eyes.
Corey -> I noticed the railings too... I think they repainted the exposed (non-shiny silver) metal along with the ride. THe handrails were definitely not new, but looked great!
I think the paint (should have used an epoxy coating instead would last much longer) flaked off the tops of the rails taking all the rust and grease with it, so now it's nylon wheels(all new ones that that) on bare steel rail, making it significantly louder for right now, also where the paint didnt scrape off it's been compressed to the point where it's just as hard as steel now, creating the same effect.
Also I didnt get off Viper for an hour and a half(last 90 mins of the day or so), if not a bit longer, and while going up the lift it looks exactly like V2 sprouted a vertical loop

this news kinda bums me out. i am planning my first trip to sfgam this aug and was really looking forward to riding batman because of the pix i saw of it. i thought the theming was great w/ the graffiti and all. it really looked gotham-ish. plus i was looking forward to riding a black batman. the only other batman clone i have ridden is at sfot and it is yellow too. (i've ridden great white at swsa which is a BM clone.but not called BM).
but isn't this the ORIGINAL BM. if so that will still be exciting

Not only is this the original Batman: The Ride and B&M's first inverted coaster, it is the world's first ever inverted coaster. Way back when it opened, it would draw crowds 3 times what the bull does today. (Well, actually I don't really know if that's true , but I think it is LOL)
