The entire list made me ecstatic! I squealed several times lol
The garden at the front of the reflection pool looks so stunning at CGA & ever since we had more space there, I thought about how nice that would look! So happy. Whizzer track replacement?! Epic. I wonder If it's being done by Premier or Mack or if it's someone else.
The bricks, I am also hoping those go up front. I will Be purchasing one as well, can't wait to get more info on that. I'm even ready for the new hopefully not wonky intimidating staircase up to Bull's platform haha! Everything sounds so exciting.
Was really hopeful for us to get a flat from SFAm though. The skyscreamer would have been a simple & appealing addition to our lineup of rides. It's already US colors. Just felt like an easy choice in my opinion.
You never know, they might still surprise us with a flat. I agree that Sky Screamer is pretty much meant for Great America.
All these additions are amazing! Even if we don't get a new ride for 2026, these improvements are well worth it!
I'm hoping they put the custom bricks right here! right when you first go through the gates, I wonder if they will be adding fountains to the Carousel pool as well? I love the way Californias Great America carousel looks
True, theres still time, we never know. I was Also hoping when the kids area was on that we'd get either SFAm's or SFMM's Zamperla kiddie coaster buttt I've heard those plans are sealed unfortunately. New flats, a kiddie coaster & rides would have been a great anniversary season but Rakshasa is a great addition to hold that in. Like you said, all these additions & touch ups are pretty amazing.
I think the pavers will totally be in front of the pool & that makes them redo the entire path on all sides of the pool & carousel. I'll miss the curved front & being able to sit & stand there but the welcome/logo will look amazing. Hoping it's the new updated logo & I'm hoping it looks pretty identical to CGA, I still Appreciate the shaping of theirs. They kept in the little curves.
Chicago Coaster Guy did a drone update. It looks so nice without the go-karts!
I still firmly believe that no kids area will go in that plot of land. That already appears to have gone to Magic Mountain instead.
I believe it will be the sight of the launched family mine train coaster teased in the survey. and they will move and retheme all the Kidzopolis rides to Camp Cartoon and give the entire area a Looney tunes retheme. Having one amazing kids' area instead of 2 run down dumpster fires and a solid family coaster that the park desperately needs.
I love that the white building near Little Dipper was spared, lol. I'm honestly surprised the last remaining remnant from Bugs Bunny National Park wasn't removed during construction or destruction of the go-karts. Speaking of Bugs Bunny, I bet those statues of Gossamer, Porky, and two others were saved, probably to be used in the new kids area, along with some of the statues from the front of the park.
Yes! Those statues would look awesome in a new Looney Tunes themed kids area.
I think this is what it will look like. They will remove wilderness theater and some of the picnic grove, knock down the wall in the back of Camp Cartoon, and expand it into the highlighted area.
Since they were playing Looney Tunes stuff in Camp Cartoon this past year, to me, that is a strong indication that it will be rethemed to a Looney Tunes Land.
I can't see them spending extra money on labor for additional kids rides, so I think the Kidzopolis rides will be combined with the new area and rethemed. With the exception of Krazy cars, which I think will be removed
and of course, the former go kart site will be used for the family launched mine train coaster teased in the guest survey. Something that would be an excellent addition to the park and Yukon Territory!
I can see Wilderness Theater biting the dust since it doesn't see much use anymore, but I also don't see them removing parts of the Picnic Grove.
I am so down for them expanding into the theater though, they might even be able to integrate the pathway to Logger's Run with it and go for something more open since that's typically how Kids areas are designed at Legacy Cedar Fair Parks. Just look at Kings Island from Google Maps, not only is there kids area massive, but it's like it's own themed area entirely.
"I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
Also, Siren's Curse is awesome and you should give it a try.
Yes! It would be nice to see those walls come down and have the expanded kids area be accessible from the loggers run path!
I did this photoshop and moved all of the Hometown kids rides, every ride from Kidzopolis except krazy kars and krazy kups and Speedy Gonzales from Magic Mountain.
That could be an amazing kids area without touching any of the picnic grove.
I was extremely impressed with how B&M was able to fit Wrath in that small plot of land. I have no doubt ART Engineering could build an amazing custom launched mine train coaster for the go kart plot of land. Something Great America should have had a long time ago.
Unfortunately, I promise you that Speedy has already been purchased & it's not coming here. I know This is annoying but I know who has it & can confirm it's not SFGAm. So hopefully we either get a brand new one or we save SFAm's Great Chase. Cause it would fit perfectly at our park for the little ones.
All I hope for the kids area if it still happens is that it does go into Yukon & the area turns into a camp theme. I dont Wanna lose two areas right next to one another to comics & cartoons without a theme that celebrates & embraces the area that came before it. Much like how we all hoped DCU would have been Gotham Harbor over a generic DC Universe. That would have been so much more fitting while paying tribute to the park's past of Yankee Harbor.

Normally I would agree. But Cedar Fair did remove the wilderness theater at Californias Great America years ago for a water park expansion. With the recent removals of dare devil dive and winners circle go karts, they seem to have no issue removing upcharge and other in park revenue generators. It seems like their main focus is driving up season pass and ticket sales to replace the lost revenue.
Only time will tell. I can't wait to see what they plan on doing with that entire area
