Classic overanalyzing first test footage here... but it'll be interesting to see how it consistently runs. No holding brake was used for the footage which makes the rest of the layout faster, but then being the first ever run and not the warmest outside makes it slower... so maybe when they do use the holding brake and it's more broken in/warmed up, maybe it will run similarly to the video? Guess we will have to wait and see.
Based off the footage today/yesterday though, a couple of things caught my attention 1. the transition into the last inversion looks like some heavy G's 2. the turn after the last inversion also looks like some heavy G's 3. the transition between the last two turns looks great, I can see some airtime on some end seats, I got my eyes on the right side of the train for that moment

I will add that the gift shop will be named Rakshasa Relics, which I think is pretty cool. I like how Demon and Wrath will both have establishments right next to each other.
Also in the map, looks like the name of Totally Kickin Chicken will stay for now. John has mentioned a potential rename, but he also said that if it didn't happen this year, they can maybe come back to it down the road. So it seems like the whole mini-area for Demon and Wrath will not happen this year (if ever). Hopefully some day!
Definitely hope they create a new themed area in the future. I would like to see Demon get more theming and X-Flight take on more of an apocalyptic theme and just move the County Fair entrance here, so everything fits.
Wrath looks amazing. Thank you to everybody who took pictures and videos during the off season. I truly enjoyed watching the progress and I think this will be one of the best coasters at the park.
^ for me, the verdict is not out until we ride it. It’s hard to see that off ride. Iron Menace definitely looks smoother than it rides. I did see someone point out a jolt coming out of the last inversion

Totally agree with you on this, especially after seeing how Rapterra ran on that launch track.
Also, the pond is returning. It’s taking the shape of more like a river and there’s a pipe that goes under the midway (you can see the hole)
I’d also suspect that Memorial Day would be the earliest they’d open. They still have ways to go on the surrounding area and it’s possible they may now have to follow Cedar Fairs rules for new rides by cycling each train 500 times.
There was guys working on some stuff under the lift today as well.

That's good to hear! I was shocked to hear Bull was on one train though, and Viper being closed a few times was crazy
From my understanding, all the B&Ms are grouped together in maintenance, so they will be in charge of Wrath as well, which will no doubt take up a lot of time.
Batman’s train was being worked on in the storage station. And parts of Bulls yellow train was down on the ground by the station.

I saw they need to do at least 500 test runs per Cedar Fair rules. They'll have to get on that soon.

Maybe once the Midway's done?

I would say they’re most likely doing testing during the week. Also as of yesterday the low areas of track don’t have any proper fences just some short temporary ones. I feel like they wouldn’t want to run it with guests because someone could potentially sneak into one of those areas easily and be in danger. Just a thought.

I'd reckon the midway, the queue for Wrath and Demon, and the new exit paths. The fences for the low areas of the ride are already going up. That will be out of the way.
They could also have the crews work on the area around the ride, midway, buildings, queues, etc during the day and conduct test runs in the evening and night?
Stupid question about the white gravel around some track sections: Do they use that to cover over the dirt to make it look nicer and in areas where they won't be able to get into to cut grass?

Pretty much both. It can also function as a inhibitor for growth of grass, weeds, etc along with assisting with drainage of rainwater because it can flow directly to the topsoil so that water doesn't pool.

they also lay down a bed of straw around the area as well too.
