In my opinion, there's probably no difference in how much they can achieve in a 40 degree day versus a 60 degree day (other factors staying the same). It was indeed beautiful today though

Really excited to see this. The "near miss" between the 4th inversion and the lift hill really caught me off guard when they released the POV.
It looks so close but it can be deceiving from this height and distance back so until we see it in person not exactly sure!

It does look very close to the lift hill. It's like the back part of the track at the apex of the 4th inversion is kissing the guard rails of the catwalk on the lift hill!
Thank you for all the hard work to get these updates out, Chicago Coaster Guy! Man, the hype is really starting to set in right about now. A little birdie told me that the "control booth" is that small structure on the east side (unload) of the station. This is akin to the legacy cedar fair style operator booths that are enclosed and indoors, so makes sense.
Also, being that the moving bins were announced a little later, this leads me to believe legacy CF has had its hand on this project. We really might see some Cedar Fair-ifying of this coaster. If you've seen the Rapterra updates from KD, you know that the theming is pretty good! I hope to see a fraction of that with Wrath. I'm optimistic!

This is categorically false-
The FAA Prohibits the use of drone flying over Amusement Parks. The fact that Six Flags, Disney and Universal have these rules in place, does not and should not indicate that, just because its a company rule, its not a law. Which it is.
Drone flights are not permitted over Navy Pier either, nor are they allowed in National Parks. Any type of drone pilot whether they are a novice, or a professional knows this and utilizes the FAA's B4UFLY app.
I have had to delete and edit several posts in this thread due to constant back and forth bickering and name calling.
This is unacceptable on this page, please take your issues off the site as your petty bickering adds zero to the topic that is being discussed.

We are all excited about this new Rollercoaster coming to the park, please do not spoil it for those who wish to use our forums to express their excitement.

I think CF has had some kind of impact on the project, but I'm not sure to what extent. How much would CF prioritize input into this coaster compared to everything else that needs attention post-merger? Maybe fairly high, you can tell it was important to them to retheme Georgia Surfer (not suggesting a retheme for Wrath, just using Georgia Surfer as an example of CF prioritizing things and making significant changes to 2025 capital). Whatever moment they decided to sit down and start looking at Wrath, has enough time passed to allow for many changes? Or vice versa, have certain things been finalized that they can't change now, or there wasn't/isn't enough time to make changes they wish they could make? It's all really interesting to think about. I think the overall product will be satisfactory. Traditionally I would put more faith in CF compared to SF to make the right decisions and create a great overall package, but it's obvious that John and the whole team were approaching Wrath very differently (in a good way) compared to Maxx and Joker, even Goliath to an extent.
The bin system could have totally been pushed by CF, although it might be worth noting that Iron Menace, the only dive built by CF after Yukon, does not have the bin system (it could be argued that Dorney doesn't have enough demand to warrant a bin system). CF might have even looked into metal detectors honestly... maybe metal detectors are just a Cedar Point thing, but I would argue that it makes more sense for Wrath to have metal detectors compared to Sirens Curse, and here we are. Maybe the bin system was a compromise, who knows. Just thinking out loud.
I'm not expecting theming to be at the degree of Rapterra, although that would be awesome and I would love to be wrong about that. It looks great, even for CF standards. I totally agree, I'd also be happy with a fraction of what it looks like Rapterra is getting (okay, maybe more like at least 2/5). Honestly, I would be happy with something on par with X-Flight.

I think I would want something less half-assed compared to X-Flight. Specifically regarding the station.
X-Flight's Keyhole is the standout in the park for theming overall.
I had a random thought though. The park picked Thursday to invite Marcus and other media members on purpose. At the rate they're going, I wouldn't be surprised if they are going to be placing the final track pieces that day.

I think X-Flight is carried by the soundtrack, which admittedly I hold at a much higher weight than pretty much anyone else. John mentioned audio, but it seemed more like something for the lift hill like Dr. D. I'm not expecting a full soundtrack for Wrath (again, would LOVE to be proved wrong there ). I doubt Wrath will have anything comparable to the keyhole, the control tower was above and beyond

I thought the same thing! I think it’s possible. Really excited to see what they share.

So… what you are really saying here is that a grand opening on 4/18 isn’t out of the question…

I mean, maybe just maybe they finish track work on Thursday. I doubt it, but even then, I doubt the date of the media event was specifically planned around that. Construction progress seems too variable and unpredictable with weather to plan ahead like that, this date has been locked in for a couple weeks

Is it not odd to have multiple media personal there on Thursday though? I don’t remember them doing anything like that before. Like an announcement of the announcement.

John did say the coaster would open by Memorial day
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back
No more track has been installed since my last update, however it’s looks like they are installing all remaining supports first before the track as you can see from the photo.
Well that throws my theory out the window about possibly having the media on-site for final track install.
Oh well. I wonder if they will be working backwards from the brake now. Might have to do with crane positioning or something. We won't know until they start moving track to the site. If it's the really think spine track, it's the demonic knot.
