New themed land ideas

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

With Wrath of Rakshasa around the corner and the promise of "immersive" theming, it had me wondering if they would give the plaza surrounding demon and Rakshasa a little overhaul to connect the rides theming wise, then I thought how cool it would be if they gave other lands overhauls like what Great Adventure was doing in the mid 2000s. Feel free to leave any idea you can think of that you think would improve a land in our park.

My dream overhaul for Great America would be the left half of county fair completely remodeled and themed after the 1933 Chicago World Fair. I believe this would fully enhance the area to it's potential and even fit with the vibes that Marriott went with the park. The land would stretch from Goliath all the way to X Flight, buildings would be covered with Beaux-art and Art Deco style exteriors (presumably cutouts to save costs), the area would play music from the time period, and the center of the plaza where revolution once stood could be a replica of the "Statue of the republic". With this, a bunch of the rides in the area could be rethemed, such as Goliath's story more being about a grand mechanism being shown off in the world fair, the roman aesthetic of the ride can still remain intact since the worlds fair aesthetic fits nicely with the old world style. Sky Striker could be themed to a "Upgraded" Ferris wheel that has been created since the Ferris Wheel was debuted at the Chicago world fair. The food court could receive new food eateries that can just sound classical and make the exterior look nicer. I also believe this could be the parks excuse to finally pull the trigger on an RMC conversion of American Eagle which would be the centerpiece of the whole new area, with posters all around the plaza in a 1930s style encouraging guests to "Fly with the Metal Eagle". The queue of which would go in the spot of kidzopolis to have room for many switchbacks or even a themed queue (We have 3 kids zones and this one is the most useless). I have many more ideas for this land but I think I have rambled enough now, let me know what you guys think and how you would change things, this is something I have thought about for a while and have asked my other enthusiast friends what they thought. Here is some concept art that I made to go along with this idea.

I definitely hope that stretch of land with Wrath and Demon gets rethemed. I love the idea of theming the rest of the area to the 1933 Chicago world fair.

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I would like to see Superman, Dark Knight and Roaring rapids rethemed to fit Orleans Place.

I think these would be great projects for off years when we don't get a major attraction and would really help bring the park to its full potential. I'm very impressed with what Cedar Fair has done to their Jungle area at Kings Dominion, and I would love to see that creativity brought to Great America.

Definitely agree with those rethemes! I heard rumors that Roaring Rapids was going to add some New Orleans theming to the ride before it closed again which is unfortunate. Maybe if they went forward with it, they could rename the ride to something like "Mississippi Queen"?

That would be amazing. Definitely add some animatronic gators and bayou theming to it. The park has great potential. It just needs an owner that gives a damn and is willing to put in the extra effort. I am very happy Cedar Fair is in control now. Because they tend to go the extra mile.

I'm thinking you should enlist GreatAmericanFox for theming ideas and Blue_Toad_Coasters for the backstories!

Hmmm, i have alot of ideas but i end up shooting them down myself because of space in the park

Something i wish Marriott did while constructing the park was have each area be almost geographically accurate to where they are irl. Like for example having Orleans place in the southern most part of the park,or Yukon where Hurricane Harbour is, just think it would've been a cool detail for me but oh well.

The only main america theme we're missing is a beach theme, whether it be FL or CA. I guess also a Hollywood theme but i think that would be uninteresting

Something i'd like to do to tie the LT into the park more (and kinda what i want to see for those kids areas in 2026) is using sub areas on the current lands to theme around a specific set of characters, for example, in Yukon i'd put a Bugs Bunny National Park as not only a homage to the original Bugs Bunny area, but also to keep the forest theme by having things from the Hunting Trilogy, y'know the "Duck/Rabbit Season" signs, Bugs' house and some other refences to those cartoons. Southwest Territory could easily get a sub area dedicated to the Road Runner and Wile E Coyote Cartoons, and if they can fit a family launch coaster there then it's even better as i think a family launch coaster suits those characters, especially one that duels as you can have a Road Runner side and a Wile E side.
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back
