Yeah I think most would speculate the same.
I’d guess they’ll demolish the old county fair kids area either way. It was cool when it was The American Eagle queue but with the rest of the redevelopment in that area, this bit has to be next.

Agreed. I think Kidzopolis will be demolished and some of the rides will be moved to what will be a rethemed and expanded Camp Cartoon.

New Kids area with a Peanuts theme!

Never got to try the cheesecake, and from the looks of it, not many others did either. I only counted three people in the history of my time at the park eating them, all in a group. They looked pretty huge, but who goes to a theme park for cheesecake?
Drizzle will not be back next season. It was already reported in a Great America FB group.

Yes. In all likelihood, it will be Camp Snoopy. They already have the same blueprint at California’s Great America so they likely will replicate it. They removed the go karts at CGA.
They talked heavily during the merger about utilizing IPs and crossing them over between brands. This is a perfect time for this. I imagine Kids will be gone and that will become something else in 27 and beyond.

Cheesecake place was almost always closed and when it was open it never had a line. Bring back the chicken place!

I have no issues with Snoopy. It’s more recognizable than Looney Toones and what they’ve done with at some of the legacy CF parks has been really well done.
WOW! Are we getting a complete brand new entrance?! This is great stuff! Hopefully they won't start construction until 4 days before opening like they did this year
Some time, on way to successful, first of steps of all of the steps to being successful steps are hardest of all of the steps to successing.

God no, the Looney Tunes deserve their place at Great America. Why would you sideline them despite being at the park since Day 1
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

I don’t think that’s the original. The old ones with the ticket windows were destroyed many years ago.
It looks like they are re doing the whole front entrance as the security checkpoint got done this year and now the actual ticket gates are being redone.

Well these are where the turnstiles used to be, even more proof when you see CGA's version

I don't think they're just being redone, they may be pushed back a bit. There may be a plan for riptide bay slides that are coming down and STT. Depending on how far they take it, Guest Relations may be moved to a new building.
I don't want to see STT leave, but it barely runs as is.

STT isn’t going anywhere.
It was struck by lighting mid year and they were waiting on a part.
I agree with everything else. Given there’s more space between security and the front entrance, it could be moved.
I doubt much is being done with the drop slides right now given that we know 2025 and 2026 plans. Maybe they are removed at some point. But any water park investments are likely for 2027 and beyond.
The 6.4 megawatt solar project will cover the 15 acres of the parking lot outlined in blue. This was approved by the Planning & Zoning Board and will now goto the Village Board for final approval.

Good move by the park, our cars will finally not get heated up so much by the sun
