Was in the area yesterday afternoon, so against my better judgement of going there on a Saturday during FF, went to the park in the afternoon. Ironically, on the very first day of impossible to enforce chaperone policy, I saw my first fight ever at the park.
Around 9:35pm, I witnessed a group of 5 to 10 teenagers (probably around 17, 18 years old) arguing between the carousel and Coke stand, and I could see it was escalating quickly. As it was just a few feet away, I immediately went to the Coke stand and asked the employee there if she could contact security as I thought a fight right behind me was about to break out. Shortly thereafter, the fight started, with people on the ground punching each other. I moved to get out of the way of the fight as it was taking place right next to where I was standing. I wasn't sure if the employee at the Coke stand called security as she initially froze up when I told her, so I proceeded to head quickly to the park entrance yelling for security as I thought that is where you would be sure to find them. I got to the exit gate and told the employee at the gate that there was a fight by the Coke stand, and asked if any security was around. He looked around...and there appeared to be MAYBE one security guard at the exit (not 100% sure if it was or wasn't security; didn't get a good look at him) on the outside of the park, but he wasn't immediately able to get his attention..at least, I think he was trying to get his attention. Maybe 1 minute after, while I was at the exit trying to get security alerted to the situation, the groups involved in the fight ran right by me, leaving the park. A few of them appeared bloodied up. One Great America employee was running behind one of the groups as they left and screamed "stop them!" to whoever was at the exit, but that didn't happen. All of those involved in the fight were able to make it out of the park and leave without issue; I confirmed this later on as I saw a few cops on the way out later on that I asked about the incident.

Happy Fright Fest, everyone!
The incompetence man, they need to be more strict on the security, last thing we need to do is bump up the age limit from 15 to 17
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

Yeah, we could use that for some extra seating for....oh. Wait. Claim Jumpers is rarely ever open.
Remember when Haunted Houses were setup in a modular manner and could go up and down within 2 weeks? I remember that. I'm sick and tired of seeing them up all year taking up spaces that could be used for something else.
Have to agree. I still don't understand why Bloodshed's boards and such sat there for the whole season. The park could have just gotten a forklift and put them in the employee parking lot or even the back of the picnic grove for all I care.
Speaking of Claim Jumpers, I think the park should just destroy it to not only have more room for a Haunted Attraction, but it would work out since Cartoon Cabin is the Fright Fest shop, so it would make sense for it to be an exit shop if they wanted to alternatively place a full-on Haunted House there. I also think they should just retheme Cartoon Cabin to something like "Creepy Cabin" since all that place does is sell Fright Fest stuff. I legit thought it was a Looney Tunes store before I found out that El Mercado existed.
Just have Cartoon Cabin sell Scooby and Courage stuff.
