So with the park beginning to tease something I figured we should start a thread to discuss. Thoughts?
I personally think we will be getting a dive coaster however I’m just not sure it will be next year and they would wait for the anniversary the following year. And the rapids ride isn’t going anywhere! Everyone keeps saying that’s why it’s closed, but they had intended to open it this year and from what I understand they are still waiting on a part for the water pump. The park remainder has also stated in the past that the ride wouldn’t be removed and they spent 5 million dollars on a refurb in 2022 into 2023.
Honestly no clue what they’re planning for next year. I’ve seen some of you saying that the teasers must be for Fright Fest but in my opinion they wouldn’t put this much effort into that.
First there was the banner at MGH’s spot “Looks can be deceiving”, with a QR code that took you to a wordle. The answer for that one was “TEASE”.
Now, I just saw @airtimehill_zone on Instagram post a picture of a new banner in the old adventure course next to Demon that reads “Shedding Skin”. This also has a QR code to a wordle with the answer “DEMON”.
With all of these empty spots available for the park to build on, it could really be anything. Seeing that Sky Striker only got a few Instagram posts for its teaser campaign (at least from what I remember), I feel like it’s going to be more than just one flat ride.
Or it could just be a Fright Fest maze that they’re super excited about lol. We’ll see. Either way it’s great to see the marketing/publicity team getting people excited!

I was just going to say…. I’m going to lose my shit if demon gets torn down. Lose my shit, I tell you. Especially if it’s for a boring dive coaster. Back row demon best seat in the park. Again. I will lose my [emoji90]. God, do not let it be demon. I’m not crying, you are…..

I'm just really hoping that they don't touch Demon. Or if they have to, it's nothing more than a refurb to keep it going.
I did just look at wait times on app. General public Demon is not a big hit 5 minutes now. Where everything else is 30 or more. I hope that if I must come to terms they will at least announce the removal before and have last rides in which I would have to get my butt to the park. I really really hope not. Not a ton of arrow loopers left.

RMC already announced their single rails for next year and only 1 in the US which isn’t a custom layout. Unless they call on intamin for it then it’s looking like a Dive. My guess is that it’s not a clone of Diabolical and a record breaker. 225ft lift him with a 250ft drop at 82mph.
Wondered when this would get its own board. It seems pretty clear that this teasing is going to be for a new roller coaster, and it does not take a rocket scientist to see that this is clearly a dive coaster coming. (I'm sounding super smug so if I'm wrong I can say it was clearly just a joke and if I'm right I look like a genius)

The raptor is going to lost island, if you see their newest posts on instagram, they seem to be bringing up "raptors" a lot (one of their more recent posts had talks of if a hot sauce was more like a moose vs a raptor)
Some time, on way to successful, first of steps of all of the steps to being successful steps are hardest of all of the steps to successing.

If I may so quote the late great Patrick Henry, “Give me [Demon] or give me death! I’m all for a new coaster, but just not Demon. I’ll even take no new additions instead.

That’s the hope. If we get a Dive Coaster that big, my socks will be blown right off. I’d be all for it, though. Demon getting refurbished would be a nice bonus.
If we end up with two Demonic themed coasters right next to each other. I hope they rename that area to "Haunted trails" or "Dry Gulch" or something spooky and move the County Fair entrance closer to the food court and X-Flight
Demon was a great turnstyle turner in the 80's. 2025 is around the corner. So many more technical advancements and better design tools available today. If Ron Toomer was here even he would say "Lets tear it down and build a better one!" Or atleast revamp like they did Loch Ness. I know Demon purists want to hold on to their childhood for nostalgia, but why can't the brand new coaster enthusiasts have something slick, new and modern? You've had your turn. Let them have theirs. I don't think Demon is going anywhere, but the current version deserves a facelift at least! And NO, removing rockwork does not count as a facelift.

If they were going to remove it totally. I DO NOT want it replaced with a Dive Coaster. I would rather have a family coaster such as Big Bear Mountain, Guardians of the Galaxy to ensure a family friendly ride still. Again this is a big IF. I would rather have a family coaster than anything else if that were the case.

I do not want it to go because its clone isn't going to survive in a few year either
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

Agreed. Besides, if the park waits, after CGA’s Demon closes, they can use its parts for our Demon like they did with Shockwave back in the day.

If Demon goes there goes my guaranteed "cheap credits" ride to pad my ride count stats each time ! So I don't want it to leave either.
Single Day Ride Count Record
50 rides 8/17/2018 (Without Flash Pass - Coasters After Dark)
More props from suckaneer Battle are being removed If it is a dive machine. That would look amazing walking down that path and seeing Demon, X Flight and a Dive machine.

I definitely think that we could see one built before 2030. I doubt the first one would come to our park, but my bets are on either DollyWood, SFMM, SFGAdv, Cedar Point, Energylandia, or Liseberg.

Doesn't Cedar Point seem a little hilarious when they already have a Dive Machine?
The tease is feeling like Maxx Force's, elaborate with deliberate mis-steps. What are the clues?

WRATH OF RAKSHASA trademarked by Six Flags 5/28/24 "RAKSHASA are a race of (usually) malevolent beings prominent in Hindu mythology" - Wiki (ok, backstory is like whaaa?)
Please add what I missed. This spring I noticed demo work at BB and the old Great American Revolution site (Himalaya bobs during Marriott) after years of dormancy. I am inclinded to think something is going there, maybe returning the park to a circular layout. A dive is very marketable / GP pleaser.
