Your ride does have a purpose. If you care so much about themeing why don't you pay attention to it? THe graffiti outside, Villains are outside of the batcave! It's an evacuation they tell you that!! I...I...I...I...Can't even speak any more. There is so much wrong with that post. And the new batman movie coming out "this summer" Are you kidding. They started filming, like, a month ago or something! And you really should have thought this through. Because a lot of this movie is Batman's training in the Middle east. That doesn't really fit with the Theme does it? UGH! Pay more attention to what you say.

Maybe da rcman2001 isn't that much of a Batman fan and wouldn't know when the new movie is coming out. Or maybe he really didn't mean this summer literally, c'mon it's not like he was writing this to be published. It's just a post! You don't need to be so exact all the time (if that makes sense). And I thought the preshow idea was pretty cool. He's right, there isn't much of a purpose to the mission. The only time they say evacuate is when the signs say "First Row Evacuate Now". How could there be "so much wrong" with his post if it's only 2 lines long?

I understand the theme of the line and stuff, but even though the actual ride is unbelievable, the theme doesnt follow up into it, and i'm not sure how they could make it do that. I just threw a few "off the top of my head" ideas in the air for discussion.

As for the movie, im not a huge batman fan, and i dont find out when they start filming these movies. I just hear about a new movie coming out this year, and a related theme with gadv's stunt show. I just assumed it was coming out this summer.

Oh yeah? Then what "Purpose" did you have in mind. (sarcasim)

O.K. It isn't black. It's more like a midnight blue but it looks black to the naked eye.

I am talking about the Batman logo. Not Batman's wardrobe.

Hand dryers?! BRING BACK THE PAPER TOWELS!

As for rides, B:TR will still pack the same punch even if it is a giant yellow eyesore. People ride coasters for the ride, not for it's color scheme, ne?

And can we get a better pay attraction than Daredevil Dive? (DD rocks and all, but a Sky Sling would kill!!!)

I'd say to go back and now re-vamp the older part of Orleans Place. After just visiting New Orleans for a school music trip, I can tell you that if they really wanted to go with the look of the French Quarter, GAm should re-paint and redo some of those buildings.

I know you can't get 100% exact, but the whole point of "themed" areas are to make you feel as if you were actually in the specific location.

I mean "Orleans Place". The part that contains S:UF, Condor, and Ru Le Dodge.

They still call that part Orleans Place.

Well my friends. I went past Six Flags today, and I saw Batman, and I think that the new colors are horrible. I could definatly see the blue in the supports, and the yellow is horrible.

If I was the management, I would change the colors! But, thats only my opinion!

I'd take out Demon and put in the floorless. Open the park the last weekend in April. I'd also close the park for buyouts after Labor Day and start fright fest earlier in late September, So it could be in the park longer and it could be there in the warm weather. Also I'd have the park open from 5-11pm on Halloween, if that holiday falls on a weekday.

http://www.uscoasters.com/photos/displa ... m=3&pos=18 Thats what the new B:TR should look similar to. And I bet this wasn't management's call, it most likely was SF Corp. Keep all the discussion about the paint colors in the Batman paint thread, its there for a reason!

As to removing demon for a floorless or anything for that matter, I think that would be a bad move because Demon is a great Step up ride, for those who want more than whizzer, but don't want to jump straight to Raging Bull or other really large attractions. And they just painted it too, so don't expect it to go anywhere for maybe another 3 years or so.

And about the hours... I say they should be open until 11 or 12 during the summer like CP is... I really like CP's hours, I wouldn't tell CP if Six Flags copied them. :)

Kyle.

They don't have late closing hours like midnight because the residents of Gurnee won't allow it. This has dated back to the Marriott days.

While it would be nice, I can see their point (the neighbors).

Well Forget the neighbors! Most of the houses were built after the park was correct? Did they not expect this moving next to an amusement park? I would feel more sympathy if they had it built next to them and they already lived there. But if they didn't they have no right to complain.

No, actually , the houses that border the park property were built before the park.

Do you happen to know around when they were built? To me they look like mid 70's, which would put them at the time when it was known what was being built. I do understand their reasons, but I still wish that during the summer that the park would remain open longer, I would bet Gurnee would make more $$$ off of taxes etc.

Kyle.

You are comparing SFGAm hours to CP from one of your previous posts.

CP is out on a peninsula, so they dont have neighbors.

We are talking Gurnee here. A village that has been around since the late 1800's. The houses off of Grand Ave. bordering the park were there before Marriott moved in. I don't know what year they were built but be assured they existed before the park came into play.

As for neighbors that moved into these houses after the park came into play, I have no sympothy for them to a degree. If I bought one of those houses say now, I bought it thinking that the park closed no later than 10pm. If they wanted to close later, I would have problem with it.

It's a 2 way street in a situation like this.

Also CP is a HUGE operation (well so is SFGAm, but you know), it's not like you can do everything in 1-2 days like SFGAm that place is a beast and they get so many people there it's not even funny.

What does it matter if you live by the park?? It's not like you can hear everything that goes on in the park.

You'd be surprised that they actually can hear a lot of the noises. Did you ever notice that about 200ft away from Eagle's lift hill are houses? Thats pretty darn close and i'm sure they can hear a lot of noise.

(reffering to the orleans place section)

No they didn't. Yea, sure they changed it but into a carni. Im talkni about authenitic disney catagory themeing, not some spin and puke rides with mardi gras masks sprincled all over them. And just becasue I am comparing it to disney doesnt mean six flags doesnt have enough money to make some buildings and plant some trees. Take a look: Link 1 , Link 2 , Link 3, Link 4
Those are all from disneyland, but if they can just spend more time on theming one section, it can be dome. Look at swt. Plus, they can theme really good main streets at all the new six flag parks.
As for demon, keep it, add more theming, lose the OTSRs. Get lap bars with seat belts like american eagle is. Plus, plant more trees around it. That areas too dry and the ride would be better if it was darker and you got a lot of head choppers from trees.

O yea, and an onride saudio system would be cool  They could get some speakers up in there, and play the old theme song during the ride. Kids wont get scared, it'll just make them like it more.

First of all, about getting rid of the OTSRs: They'd never do it. While they're physically not needed (a lap bar/seatbelt would be sufficient) to keep you in while going upside down, they're there for a sense of security, like a physicological thing. And most people especially want them on Demon because of what happened when the train got stuck upside down.

I'd rather see them put an onride audio system on another ride. Nobody ever rides Demon except on especially busy days, so it would be much more worth it to put it on a different ride.

I do like your idea on the theming.
