Key Lime Cove was owned by the owners of Famous Dave's bbq. They were attempting to start a new chain of resorts like Great Wolf Lodge, but they started to lose money on the place and it didn't do too well. Eventually Gurnee told them to sell because they weren't getting enough money out of them from taxes. Great Wolf Lodge was quick to buy them out.
They say there isn't a spot in the park where rusting metal or peeling paint is at least 15 feet away from you.

This part is completely incorrect.
Key Lime Cove had to pay the village half of the hotel and resort taxes that they collect. They were expected to pay the village at most $22 million by 2028; they only had paid $4 million by the time they closed (about half way to 2028). The village was quoted as being disapointed in Key Live Cove's performance and pressuring them to make changes and increase development.

Could you site the source? I’d like to read more into the situation.
Those are some interesting articles... I didn’t know Key Lime Cove was supposed to have at 60,000 sq ft outdoor water park!
Sorry for moving us off topic like that. I just had to know what the deal was with Great Wolf Lodge and Six Flags. Is there anything new on what may be coming in 2019?
^ No nothing new. I think we might start seeing footers be put around July or August. Also anyone know the size of ride footers because now is our time to see your math skills.
How come Lightning Rod is never open when I go.
Top 10: 1. El Toro 2. Steel Vengeance 3. I305 4. Fury 325 5. Maverick 6. Mako 7. Iron Rattler 8. Medusa Steel Coaster 9. Raptor Clones 10. Maxx Force.

I’m confused on by so many of you think construction will be starting so soon. The only coaster I’ve ever seen construction start early was for Viper. Footers were down before end of season. But all others didn’t start until May least November from what I can recall. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

This isn't the first time I've heard about construction starting soon. I believe JiggidyNDG has even said it'll be "soon." I'm not exactly sure why the park would start construction so soon, but maybe to try and have majority of the ride together since the park will be open until December this year? I see like an advertisement to have a reason to buy a season pass this season/next season. If that makes sense. This is just my speculation/thoughts. I would love to hear from others on why they think construction is starting so soon. I love this time of the season.
It could be due to the location if it starts early. Pictorium was sitting on a slope that appears to be difficult to redevelop.
Who knows, it's all speculation. If I had to take a guess Construction won't start for a while seeing as Six Flags has a history of being late on everything.

Hmmmm...interesting. The marker(s) by the GASR tracks makes me wonder if whatever it is that’s coming wouldn’t be a custom something? I’m getting excited!
If this does turn out to be a Roller Coaster...... Now that the Wild Mouse has been removed from Black Pleasure Beach, Great America could add one more wooden coaster and become the wooden coaster capital of the world.
If it's a coaster, my bets are on a Wonder Woman clone. To me, sadly, this is too suspiciously close to the waterpark for it to be anything other than a damn waterpark expansion.

You never know though. We have been surprised before. I would rather them extend the waterpark into the parking lot than into the pictorium spot.
