well i'm not the one to pry into gottastrata33's dreamland but has anyone posted yet that screamscape is claiming La Ronde is getting a ride called Titan for 2017?
That sounds like a big coaster name....Titan. They haven't got one in 6 yrs so would make sense.
"New for 2017 at La Ronde: Its the most underwhelming attraction in the parks history! Titan looping coaster! You've seen the fireball, now ride the Titan. Swing upside down, forward and backward again and again! Titan, new for 2017 at La Ronde."

That would be bad to just give them a Larson with a name "Titan"

Where did you get that quote from?
I made it up, it's obviously fake, why would a park advertise a ride as the most "underwhelming ride" in the parks history?
You know what I'm going back to my flat ride package/Gotham City retheme prediction, and I'm sticking to that. It seems more logical to me. That and I would rather wait a year to get a nice Premier/Mack launched coaster in 2018, than to get a free spin 2017.

There was a poster with a giant black loop on it, looked like full throttle but black, & those are the only three I remember really. What I remember most though was how amazing it was on the back of the poster for over Texas ... It has a year on it & what coaster they got that year leading all the way up to 2017 with the "Déjà Vu". Which in all honesty, is still in my opinion, one of the most kick ass names ever. RIP girl, I miss you so.
So for 2017, I'm thinkin were gonna see a Mack water coaster, something new for the chain, an RMC, a few water park additions (I would like to see another one soon here), some flats, & an S&S 4D. I want a 300ft Skyscreamer actually. I would love that addition. Maybeeeee just maybe whatever we get, they will announce it & then seek approval from the village board. This happened with Goliath after all.

I was thinking maybe another site posted it. Somebody who is anti superloop, like me. I will deal with it, if we get one, if it comes with 2 other good flat rides.

Huh? Goliath approval came before the announcement. It would be kind of a huge * up to make the announcement before approval by the village (if it was needed).

I was, like many of us here, at the groundbreaking/announcement ceremony & Hank stated they are still waiting for approval from Gurnee. I was told something very interesting there. Did you notice that all those posters didn't say Great America on them in the beginning? That's cause it was a very generic poster & could easily move to another park if God forbid they didn't get the approval. Think about it- you would think a park that is building a triple record breaking coaster would slap their name on it! Right?! & yes I know it was designed for the park for that plot of land But they knew Gurnee would approve it overall, Goliath was good for the park while the locals felt otherwise. Some guy there brought this all up to me & claimed he talked to Hank. Who he was I have no damn idea but it all made sense to me why it was just "Six flags Goliath" & then with him saying there was still a need for approval I was like ohhhh. Idk lol

OK, I did my research. It was approved by the zoning board before the announcement, and I think that's kind of the bigger meeting, they approved it, then the village board didn't do it until after the announcement but I think that was more of a formality. It's a different situation then this would be, which would be basically springing it on the village. Goliath was already semi- approved before the announcement.
Sorry for the confusion, I was just remembering finding out the details from the zoning board meeting before the announcement...
gottastrata33 wrote:& I will admit that I really don't remember that. I just remember Hank saying approval was still needed.
Yeah I don't think it would be smart of SF to do that with Gurnee. Great Adventure seems to risk that but it never worked for SFNE...
SFGAdv when you go to top of rides you see forest and more forest. There board is surely more relaxed b/c the lack of proximity to residential area. They let them build Kingda Ka..it's 450ft high.
I've missed some of the last few pages due to all the fighting but the general consensus is that it will be one of three things; Flat ride package, Superloop or 4D freespin? Are there any other good possibilities that I missed or is it very likely to be one of those three?
Ok, I could enjoy and be satisfied by a superloop and a flat or two with it. It does seem like they would be making enough room for more than just a superloop so that makes sense. I just hope they don't consider it a coaster. I know it doesn't change what the ride actually is but it bothers me for some reason.
I'm not saying it's impossible, what I'm trying to say is I hope they don't have just the super loop and that's it. I want more rides with it. Even if it's just family rides.
