New Ride(s) for 2017

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Didn't say we were getting one, did I? Maybe it's you that needs to do some research.... I said You don't know that we AREN'T getting one. Not saying it's going to happen, but it could. I'd rather see a Flat Package personally.

Try doing some research. Check what towns parks are in an what they have or haven't filed for building. There is not going to be free spin. SFGAm is in the superloop group and if fortunate gets a complete ride Pkg like OG and Fiesta got with their superloop.

SFGAm only had to file for things over a certain height, as I'm sure you know, so I don't see how that makes any sense?

There's also a possibility that 3 parks could be getting 4D coasters ;)

My thought - it doesn't make any sense to move the rides they're moving for JUST a Superloop, there are other places it could go without all the hassle. So I see either a 4D or a flat ride package around the ERC/RC area (possibly/probably including a Superloop).

S&S are reported to be building 4 free spins for next year. 1 is going to Japan, and 1 to SFNE, which means 1 or 2 more will likely be going to other Six Flags parks, and SFGAm is the most likely candidate based on the area being cleared.

A free spin is 120 feet. That's under the height limit.

Can't wait to laugh at all you delusional people. It's a superloop coming, NOT A CHANCE OF A FREE SPIN!

I'm not delusional. I have no idea what we're getting. I'm just pointing out that your reasoning makes no sense. Even if you're "right", you get no credit from me since you don't seem to know what you're talking about

Could a 4D fit where east river crawler and Jester's ride are?
I don't think Six Flags would make one go across the bridge area.

Everyone needs to stop using the word confirmed. Nothing is confirmed until the park announces things on September 1! The only thing this does is basically inform us that ERC is likely moving to a new spot in the park.

The potential new ride could have wicked or a wicked theme to it. If it's a 4D free Spin, which still seems like the most likely scenario given the amount of space they cleared, they have not filed a trademark for any new names (like they did with X Flight), so it could utilize a name that Six Flags already uses and likely will be Mardi Gras themed if it utilizes Cajuns spot.

That's likely the only teaser we are getting but nobody knows for sure how many FreeSpins have been bought and how many are going to Six Flags parks.

Remember Chang was suppose to come until plans changed last minute, AE was suppose to get RMC treatment until last minute when RMC suggested building a new ride in Wolfs spot.

So plans could change and SFNE might not be getting one.

We will all find out Thursday morning.

It wouldn't even have to go over the path, a 4d could more than likely fit in RC's spot

I've missed a lot the past few days. Just got a look at the teaser. I've been leaning towords a flat ride package of sorts and after seeing the teaser I still believe in that, but I can't really explain why I feel that way. I just have a vibe I guess.

I'm not saying that we're getting a 4D. I won't be mad either way. I'm just excited to be getting anything (honestly, I think I enjoy the yearly guessing same more than the actual rides a lot of the time). I just fail to see any proof (or even much evidence) that a 4D is impossible. Trying to insult me isn't going to to change that.

Can you list in one post all these many reasons why isn't not happening? I'm looking forward to going line by line about why there's no proof of any of it.

Are you one of those trolls for ThemeParkReview? Robb seems to be sending a lot of them over our way. Probably because he's still salty about the ride op not letting his daughter ride because she was too short. XD

The preview doesn't offer many clues to me, other than something is going to go in ERC's spot. That said, I'm now convinced we're not getting anything that will drive people to the park who otherwise wouldn't go. If they shock me and put in a new coaster, I'll be pleasantly surprised. That said, I expect a flat ride, show, or something similarly unexciting. I don't find the idea of a free spin to be particularly exciting, so I'm hoping they 'save' their money and put it towards something truly spectacular for 2018. That, and come on, let's get Holiday in the Park here NOW.

I don't want one, I'll just no longer be upset if we got one(Free-Spin). I'm totally okay with a Superloop, but I hope it's not going to be called Fireball, sounds un-creative in my opinion.

What I would've wanted for 2017:
Zamperla Giant Discovery or a Premier SkyRocket 2 (Not going to happen because of the permit, obviously)

What I'm hoping for that's reasonable:
Zamperla Endeavour
Larson Superloop
Larson Flying Scooters
Fun Time Sky Screamer
Larson Tilt-A-Whirl
Disk'O
Various Other Flats

Assuming you mean 2017, I hope it's not SkyScreamer, cause it would be a short one...
