I'm not going to say who it was because Cam said I could get banned, but one of our "new" members has confirmed a Free-Spin according to his friends who are apparently high up in the park. He apparently has evidence as well, but won't show us.

He called us all (Members of this site) outlandish, as well.

Huh? What?! That's...odd, but kind of exciting...Wonder if it's true. Just hoping no one goes around all social media saying that we're getting a free spin. Hoping it's true, but probably not

Except this guy was taking it WAY too seriously. Shouting at us in the chatroom, telling us he'll be laughing when we're wrong, etc. The things he said about me and the site were pretty cruel, too.

If anyone wants a screenshot, I'll PM you.

Have him ask if an Intamin coaster is possible.

Outlandish? Lol what else he got to say & who the hell is he?! Send me the PM, I'll storm a b**ch.

Damn, people gettin me fired up lately. It's funny cause we all "fight" over anything that has to do with this park cause we're passionate about it. We all have our opinions. That's what makes this site, the diversity between all of us. But when someone outside of here wants to talk s*** about any one of you &/or us, I'm gonna get protective lol.

staticshadows wrote:It just seems like the Free Spin rumor is popping up at all of the parks where no info has leaked this year. I don't think ParrotScape has any credible sources from these parks and is just grasping for straws to makeup rumors. I think the Gotham City/ Flat Package(SuperLoop, Giant Discovery, Endeavor) idea would do more for the park this year than a 4D Free Spin. SFOT, SFOG, and SFA already have Gotham sections and it wouldn't surprise me if SFGam, SFGAdv, and SFMM follow suit over the next couple of years when they revitalize dead areas of the parks.

Supposedly according to Screamscape MM is closing down the section of the park where Riddler's Revenge is for renovations. It sits next to their BTR clone so that makes sense.

But yeah, at this point let's just bring back Gotham Harbor. Get rid of Mardi Gras and split that land between GH and Orleans Place.

Intamin woodies actually aren't awful. All 4 of their pre-fabs are great rides and even dating back (ding) to the American Eagle.

And it's the first launch RMC had to design and build.

Isn't the issue with the sub-contractor who built the launch?

Partially, the build was way behind schedule even before issues with the launch came into play. Now that may be fault of Dollywood. It may also be fault of RMC with 2016 being their biggest year to date with 4 installations (2 retracks and 2 ground up builds including one overseas in Sweden) vs their standard 2 installations per year from 2013 - 2015. Now Stormchaser, Joker (DK not GA) and Wildfire opened on time so part of the problem in the build schedule probably falls blame to Dollywood.

And yes, part of the delayed opening falls blame to the sub who handled the launch system that needed to be replaced with a new manufacturer at the last second. And all downtime this season has pretty much been attributed to the launch as well.

Then there was the recall. Which was supposed to close all of their coasters even though a lot of them stayed open.

Recall was on the trains and only LR/Wildfire ran the affected models. They were closed for about 3-5 days until replacement parts arrived, were installed and tested.

The park keeps retweeting things about today being National Roller Coaster Day. Seems like it would be a good day to drop a teaser if the park is getting a coaster...

The announcement is in a little more than 2 weeks. We've had no clues so far. It's very likely we won't be seeing a coaster next year. Unless SFGAm's PR Department just sucks now.
