That's because they need to give all their time to Mean Streak!

CP just teased their 2017 announcement, it's looking like a waterpark expansion. Also being announced same day as Worlds of Fun, Dorney Park and Carowinds probable flat ride packages. I'd expect Mean Streak to be SBNO for a minute or just be ripped out altogether

Well Carowinds did a huge water park expansion and retheme, and did Plants vs Zombies. You would think that would be expensive doing both. I could see a small water park expansion and RMC Mean Streak at Cedar Point being a realistic thing for next year.
I don't see an RMC coming to CP in 2017, I was thinking that they would RMC it in 2020 (150 years of cp) but that was before they announced mean streak closing
Watch us be mind blown when the entire plot from RC to the batman que & jesters is used for a tight compact RMC Trex coaster lol! But I'm thinkin a new cake pop shop is comin in 2017. No rides. Just cake.

That would actually be AMAZING!
The RMC Trex, too.
As long as we got one of those Looney Toons bathrooms like SFNE...
Ya if we're getting a coaster at all next year it's going to be a free spin. But that's only if we do get a coaster. It's also a good chance it's going to be a flat ride package.
This past week has proved one thing to me: Six Flags doesn't care. They closed the rides Sunday night. Was that because first thing Monday morning they were planning on starting to remove them because it would take that long? No, I haven't been there but from the pictures I've seen nothing has happened. So, congratulations Six Flags on degrading the guest experience for NO REASON. Hope those few hundred (thousand?) dollars you've saved in staffing goes a long way.
I haven't ridden orbit since May. I was a little upset it closed and I didn't have the chance to ride it one last time. But it's not so upsetting that it will ruin my experience at the park. I had the privilege to operate Orbit 2 out of my 4 years working at the park. Loved every moment, even when it splashed you in the rain.

Just look to the future.
It's not that I'm necessarily mad about Orbit leaving (I hadn't been on it in a decade and probably was never going to do on it again, it's not my thing, although my daughter did like it), it just really frustrates me when they show utter indifference to the paying customers by closing things early or opening things late just because they can. They're essentially a monopoly, and all they care about is making money, I fully understand that, but it's going to continue to annoy me every time.
Yall got to realize something. Six Flags caters to the GP more than us. The only gp that know orbit was closing are the people that went to the park the last couple of days when it was opened because of the ride operators. and no one is going to go to this park for an enterprise! Seriously, you guys say you havent ridden this ride since the beginning of the year, does it really hold a special place in your heart? For me, no skin off my back. What is to come should be great, even if its a super loop or a free spin

I DO realize that. The point is that the people in the GP who went to the park the last couple of days (and probably paid the gate price, because they didn't know any better) had four rides closed for no reason, and some percentage of them may have had a worse day because of it. It's not the end of the world, sure, but it's still a shitty way to do business.
I was originally planning to make a launched RMC Trex in TDK's spot, but the only coaster that looks like one is the Sea Serpent Shuttle, and that would've never worked, so....
I thought it would be cool to see if a Mega-Lite would fit in TDK's space. I made this in someone's 2012 Recreation of SFGAm, and their scaling was not 100% (They made it look like the service road was father away than it really is) so this actually couldn't fit where TDK is without some modifications to the service road. Still, I spent over an hour on it, so I'm showing it here.
And no, I'm not trying to take over SFGAmWorld with my youtube name/website. I just wanted to see what it was like to be a mod. Also, this was done only for fun, I'm not saying this is going to happen.
Butttt the Dark Knight doesn't need to leave. It's s great family attraction that sadly was just given too "adult" of a name/theme. The ride doesn't fit the film but, the ride fits the park.
Wow! RollingCoasting, That Windrush you created looks awesome!! What kind of software tool did you use? I also agree that Dark Knight is a good ride. It's fun for kids and adults. It has the "scare" factor of being in the dark, and all the effects are cool. For a pure in the dark ride I loved Runaway Mtn in SF Arlington. No special effects but some really nice surprise drops (and bit sharp too!) and it seemed to have A/C on !
For the new ride, I'm gonna go out a limb here and say we're gonna get a Mr. Freeze clone! It would tie in the with blue Batman logo/image that someone said they saw.
Or, we're getting some refurb flat rides from another SF park.
Single Day Ride Count Record
50 rides 8/17/2018 (Without Flash Pass - Coasters After Dark)

He used RCT3
and, nice job RC. I think a green track with black supports would look better, but thats my opinion. Great job!

Again....that Blue Batman Logo is the company wide announcement artwork and has nothing to do with our park specifically.

I'm still on a flat ride package!
Great America isn't a park that gets hand-me-downs. Plus, are there any flats (of no resemblance of anything we have) at other parks that have closed down? No.

I believe Condor and Revolution both came from Great Adventure. But your point is right, those were both a long time ago and it doesn't seem to be anything they'd do anymore.
