FOOD! (Kinda quoting from the Great America Newsletter)

New Food Offers Available with a Dining Pass
We've added even more dining options to the Season Dining Pass program. Kidzopolis Café serves... smoothies.

The all-new Splash Shack at Hurricane Harbor is exclusively for Dining Pass Holders to redeem their snack for the day. The Caramel Chocolate Pretzel is quite good in my opinion.

Yahoo!!! Smoothies!!! I guess the GM misses them as much as me.

Kidsopolis Cafe was open yesterday! Also, single riders now go through the FP line at Justice League.

I went on the single rider line, and it probably took about 20- so minutes

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Fling has begun reconstruction. The wooden crate things have been removed from the car bases, and some car lids/roofs have appeared on/in the actual ride and queue. Nothing spectacular, but it's progress.

That's good. I was getting worried, I was there on Wednesday and there was a picnic table with umbrella sitting inside it with some other trash.

Fling is pretty much back together. Workers there today doing final touches so hopefully it will be open soon!!

On a side note, today was my 1st trip into the water park and 2 observations:
1st when did they stop planting Palm trees? They've all been replaced with regular trees.
2nd the Italian beef sandwich in Hurricane Harbor is actually quite good!!

When I was last in the waterpark 2 years ago, pretty sure they still had the palm trees, so it's pretty recent

It was the start of the season before the waterpark opened. I saw a giant pile of dead palm trees on one of my visits.

Here's what Fiddler's Fling looked like today.

Also, there's now a sugar funnel cake cart in Carousel Plaza. (I think it's new.)
It looks like there's still some wrapping from a churro cart, but most of the wrapping is for the Funnel Cakes.

Fling was closed yesterday when I was there. Also, they were closing down the line to JL yesterday to keep it from backing up. I'm assuming that's heat related as the line first closed at 1130. I know of two people that got help for heat related issues by 11am.

Also, has anyone seen Bucky Battle run this season? Yesterday Rapids and both flames were 60+ waits and BB wasn't running at all

I know they started to open it later and close it earlier. I also went on the hottest day of the year(so far). BB was a walk on. Still haven't ridden since 2011

Buccaneer Battle is open from 2pm - 6pm now. I was there on Monday at the line was 30 min long. From the looks of the ride, it appears this may be its last year of operation.

I was actually planning on doing BB on Saturday, but I also noticed it had a half hour wait. It caught me off guard. I was planning on doing American Eagle next, so knowing BB had a 30 minute wait, I was excepting a long line for Eagle, but it was staircase wait. Plus in the station, I only waited two trains for the back row. (Don't know why, but the back row on the blue side always seems to have the shortest line.)

Don't trust the wait time signs. Any time I've seen BB open this year it has the wait at 30 minutes, and I have never seen it have a line. I've especially noticed this year that the wait time signs are way too high. Yesterday RB was listed at 60 minutes when the line was just down the stairs. The app tends to be a little bit more realistic, but still on the high side.

That's how the line was on Saturday. I still didn't ride it, since it's usually a walk-on.

Maybe the GP know more about the ride's future than we do.
