New ride for 2016

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

If this is a prank, Kudos to whoever was able to log into Six Flags' Site and add this:

"Six Flags Great America is excited to announce the next generation of interactive thrills with the debut of an all-new 4D interactive thrill ride, JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis. This amazing thrill ride was named by USA Today readers as one of the Top Ten New Amusement Park Attractions of the year and was most recently awarded Best New Attraction by Theme Park Insider. Slated to open at Six Flags Great America in 2016, guests will become members of the JUSTICE LEAGUE Reserve Team, and engage in a full-sensory journey as they battle alongside BATMAN™, SUPERMAN™, WONDER WOMAN and GREEN LANTERN against Lex Luthor.

Someone save this before Six Flags deletes it.

If somebody has the ability to hack the Six Flags site and that's all they used it for, then they should find a better use of their time. So, I pretty much assume this is real. Except for how it doesn't really match most of the video clues...

I don't know why they would even put a Justice League in Southwest Territory. That would ruin the only well themed area in the park. Just saying

As I vow to say every single time somebody says this, it would be very easy to move the sign and make that site not part of Southwest Territory (and the SWAT area wasn't exactly a shining example of great theming anyway).

If you want themes, go to Disney or Universal. People (general public) don't care about that here. They're not getting off of rides and saying: "that ride was good, but it would have been so much better if it was themed to the area it's in".....just saying

So my thoughts are changing by the moment, but my current thought is that they're trying to mess with us. Otherwise you have to assume that, once again, Six Flags has screwed up and leaked their own stuff early, and I can't believe they're THAT stupid (AGAIN). And when you add in stuff like "the Joke's On You" and "You may think you know...but we're not so sure you do", AND the fact that this year they've had a teaser campaign that's been more than just videos (with tweets and instagrams and the Eagle in purple and sending out the capes), I think this is maybe just one more aspect of it.

If I'm wrong, and this is all there is, I'll still be happy about the ride, but disappointed that it wasn't the coaster that they seem to have been teasing. Time will tell.

It'll be "proof" if it turns out to be the actual ride. We'll find out next week...

I would not be surprised that it was an accident put up for a hour. I am sure the website people are getting the site ready for the Big Announcements at all Six Flags Parks, So a mistake can happen.

Oh, crap. I wish there were a spoiler tag for this forum. I would like to think there is more to the "big" announcement than JL:BFM, but maybe that's just wishful thinking... :|

This leak and the teasers don't add up. Nothing in the teaser at all hints at Lex Luthor. The teasers and all about the Joker. I think it's fake.

Guys...wake up and smell the coffee.

Six Flags was preparing the announcements pages and screwed up again. They accidentally put the page up live. Just face it, we are getting the Justice League.

The clues add up as they have been touting Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and stuff and those images were in the instagram/twitter photos. Everything has been superhero themed.

Ever wonder that the hill in the blueprints they showed was the background of a previous ride like Eagle?

I don't think anybody is doubting that it's something superhero (or supervillain) themed... We're just not sure that it's really Battle For Metropolis...

I will once again reiterate:

The new attraction for Six Flags Great America in 2016 is Justice League: Battle of Metropolis.

The park is NOT going to post something on their website to troll people. Apparently, 2016 rides were leaked on other Six Flags parks pages as well.

They were preparing the website and accidentally put the website live. That's why they took it down! If there were trolling us, why wouldn't they leave it up for more than a short period of time.

It would be false advertising to put something on their website that really wasn't true and they wouldn't use that as means to troll people.

Maybe. But parks have done it before. (Kings Island did a few years ago I believe, they may be other examples).

Seems as though, after another leak, SF Discovery Kingdom is turning Roar into a Joker themed RMC Iron horse treatment. The SFGAM leak and the video teasers that we've gotten w/ loops and stuff perhaps leading us down a path to a loopless JLB4F seems almost like a cruel "joke's on us" now. :?

Once again I will bring up Ermergerd the Kerster. Great America "leaked" it around a week before they announced Goliath. Other examples of parks that have done this include Carowinds, Kings Island, and a few other Cedar Fair parks.

The only problem is the dark ride actually does have a virtual loop in it, so it can still fit the clues.

Yea. I understand that. It has 2 virtual loops in JL (if you count the one by the subway) and I'm definitely not suggesting that's not what we're gonna get (seems clear to me) but it also seems like a cruel joke to tease Eagle in purple, have several loops in teasers, have the latest teaser gesturing drops and loops, holding the world record shovel et al and keep this "the jokes on you" joker motif going only to reveal the "big" announcement is basically a virtual ride that i've already pretty much experienced on youtube quite a few times already. I'm mentally preparing myself for it being JL:B4M but also holding out hope that there's more to the story...
