Do you think Deja Vu can make it

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

To me, it's going to be all about the weather as to whether or not it'll operate opening weekend. I was at SFGAM on a chilly day in July 2003, and you could visibly see the train struggling to make it up and through the cobra roll after the second tower. The chilly temperatures that day were in the low 60s. If they are dealing with weather any cooler than that, I would bet against it being open. I will say, however, that I think that the new management is going to do everything in its power to get Vu up and running early and often this year. The sense of annoyance with the ride was very clear during CoasterCon, so I'm pretty sure they're going to really try to get that ride headed in the right direction from this points forward.
I'm gonna twist ya, and I'm gonna flip ya. Every time you squeal, I'm just gonna go faster and harder.

I was there the final day of the year last year. It was 40 degress and raining. Granted the only had it up for about 45 minutes, it still seemed to make it through the track fine. But i think you have a point just about weather in general, they seem to tend and not run it in the rain.

w00dland is right. I was at Six Flags Great America on the secand to last day SFGAm was open for 2003.
It was 40 degrees out, Raining, and like I said cold. But anyway the rain intensity kept picking up and going down. Deja Vu ran for most of the day until the rain was intense, But yeah, Deja Vu will run for most of the season.

I know I started this forum and the forums about Deja Vu, But I have a story from when I was at SFGAm the secand to last day SFGAm was open for 2003. *IT IS INTRESTING THOUGH.KEEP IN MIND*

I went to SFGAm and it had not rained yet. I went with my friend, his dad, his brother, his mom, and his brother's friend. So we make our way towards Iron Wolf. My friend and I wanted to go on Iron Wolf while the rest of the party went of the train. So my frind and I are 8in line and the line was short. So we were close to the stairs that lead you into the station. It started to drizzle a little. So we make our way into the station and it was raining pretty good out now. So my friend and I were in line and there were 4 ladys in front of us The train leaves and now it's the 4 ladys turn to Challange Iron Wolf. Everyone got off the train and the seat shot up ( you know what I mean). Then my friend and I look at the train that just left and Iron Wolf then broke down. The ladys in front of us were asked "Is it suppost to stop like that?" I said "No" and then they announced that Iron Wolf has broken down. We dont know how long Iron Wolf will be down for. Then the ladys said "lets just get out of line. It could take a long time." 5 minutes later Iron Wolf is fine now and you know how when a roller coaster breaks down you usually test? Well Iron Wolf didn't test and My friend and I were next. So we get on and put our harnest on. Now the train starts and goes down the little hill and Iron Wolf went faster than usual because of the rain. Now we are on the lift hill. The rain is just POURING now and My friend and I were cold. Then we go down the drop and we were going FAST!!!!!!!!!! We go through Iron Wolf's loop. Then the helix and a rain drop got in my eye and it felt like hail because we were going so fast. Then we were on the brakes for 10 minutes. My friend on I are shivering because we are so cold and we are on the brakes for 10 minutes. I couln't see what was wrong in the station because My friend and I were in the secand to last row. Now we get off Iron Wolf and look for the rest of the party. They weren't here yet. When we found them about 3 or 4 minutes later my friend and I step in a HUGE puddle. Then we told the party about our Iron Wolf experience. Then we went to mooseburgers and ate.

But anyway we hade fun that day. Even Iron Wolf was fun. We got to experience Iron Wolf on a rainy day.

I rode Batman in the pouring rain a few years ago. Wasn't bad, and it was a great experience. I've also ridden V2 when it was drizzling/almost pouring. I like riding coasters in the rain... I don't know why.

I've only had one bad experiance in the rain (I think ive ridden everythign in the rain) and that was riding AER. It was how Drkstarboard described it. Rain felt like hailstones, and our on-ride photo had to be the funniest thing in the world. My friend had her hood on and was ducking for cover, then there was me with my hands shielding my face looking like i was staring at the nastiest looking woman in the world. Good times...

I know. It wasn't that intresting how I described the experience. It was more intresting if you were in the situation.

probably my most intresting story was when I was at Six Flags Great America during a tornado warning. I will put the story on a differant topic though. Look for the topic probably later today. If not then tommorow

Never rode in the rain. Might be fun. But back to subject Deja Vu will last maybe another year and if it is the same old story it will be gone.
I wish I lived in Chicago so I could go to Six Flags more often!

Alright lets put an end to these stupid rumors....if they were gonna remove it they wouldn't have spent $_____ to fix all those major problems in that SBNO period. If it can stay without having a big problem this season it'll run fine.

Ok. No more rumors.

I already set my new record for the shortest time for one of my topics to get locked. It was my 2005 topic
