My guess is that they'll build or modify something but seeing as they probably want to use the railroad station, I doubt a permanent queue will be built in that spot.

Don't know if anyone else noticed but I think they will have to pull the train up further because there is not enough room for passengers to get off towards the back of the train due to Goliath. We will see next season.

If they move the station up further, then that would be the second time it was moved because I remember in Nick's Goliath documentary he mentioned when they built Z Force the County Fair train station was moved as well.

Do any of you guys know if they will have the Goliath boarding passes again next season?

I would imagine that they would keep the passes around if they really want to make a stand against line jumping...

A good point but this is six flags. The cheaper option and the more likely option in my opinion is to make the back 2 coaches round trip only from hometown square and then have the front coaches act as station to station.

^ You're forgetting the average park guest isn't capable of reading or listening to instructions. I don't see that working. They'll either redo the platform at County Fair or run shorter trains.

I know that most people dont listen but with proper signage and placing a chain across the length of the coaches could help send the message "Dont get up!" Its also significantly cheaper than moving the station.

I choose the second option. The park hasn't exactly been concerned about capacity lately.

It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle :?
Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? :P

The absolute cheapest option is to remove the train.

I don't see that happening really though, because the train is one of the most ridden rides in the park and it has great capacity. It would be even better if it wasn't a round trip ride.

Exactly 1 year ago today, vertical construction began on Goliath.

I havnt posted my thoughts in Goliath yet so I'll do so now. I like Goliath. Fav coaster in the park for me. I like the steepness (of both the lift and drop), the overbank is cool, and the inversions are nice. And I love the ejector airtime. I think it's the best ride in the park, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. It's a great ride and all but I thought it would be better than Outlaw Run. I think it's because of the length... but you can't ask for much more in a space like that.

In addition, the delays of opening were a huge pain. I REALLY wanted to go opening day. I had plans to go the first two opening days, but when it got pushed back again I couldn't make it opening day due to summer school. In addition, the Midnight Premeire for Goliath was cancled and I was very excited to attend that. Sure, they gave us passes to skip the line instead, but we had a hotel booked and events planned for that night and the day after. Oh well, at least it's open at all. Goliath is great :)

I know the Golden Ticket awards by Amusement Park Today were released a LONG time ago but why do you think Goliath ranked was fairly low on the top 50 wooden roller coasters? It was ranked only at 23.

Where can I find the list? I can only find a list up to 10. Do you have a link? I don't disbelieve you I just can't find the whole list, and I would like to see the rest of the list.

And part of the reasoning could be the length. Farley short. So is Outlaw Run, but the overbanks are great and I see why Outlaw Run scored higher (yes I've ridden both, but opinions from person to person vary)

^^ Also, it could've been that very few voters rode Goliath.

I am using my phone but to access the complete golden ticket awards list

1. Go to golden ticket awards.com

2. Click on the issues archive

3. Click on the golden ticket issue 2014 PDF.

Hope that helps

When I was at the park Monday I finally got my front row ride on Goliath (rode front on RB, X-Flight and Demon as well). I see what some of you have said about the front row being so amazing, but I still prever the back row. I surprised how shorter Goliath's line has been this year. Both times I've gone to the park the overflow line was not in use.

For me, when I ride in the front of the train, the airtime hill provides more ejector airtime and in the back its more floater airtime.

I highly DOUBT Goliath will be closed the rest of the year, but it probably WILL be closed the remainder of the summer at the latest!

PLEASE discuss Goliath’s current technical/mechanical problems in THIS forum! Thanks

They won't remove it, they poured too much money into that coaster. You can't put anything really in that spot and fitting Goliath in there is the best we'll get.
And vu was closed way more than Goliath
Also, take a chill on the caps
