I was at the park today and Goliath was stopped on the lift hill around noon. Anyone know more about this?

I'm not quite sure about what you're saying but they would run the orange train and keep the red train in the station and vice versa, today at least. Just like normal operation.

I'm not %100 on this by far but they stopped the trains on the same part of the lift every time they would go through the course today. If I interpreted this right, they were testing the anti-rollback. I see them do the same thing with AE Blue everyday. However Goliath would stop closer to the bottom, while AE stops right at the top.

It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle :?
Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? :P

That's a block check. It's done every morning. They're testing to make sure that the train stops in the case that the following block is still occupied.

^^ No surprise here. Still need to test the blocking system more before they can have both trains on at the same time.

How does it rank compared to Outlaw Run? Outlaw Run is currently my number 1 coaster I've ridden and I'm excited to ride Goliath next Thursday!

How's the crowd control? Must be a lot of upset people seeing people on it but not able to ride. It has me very interested to see how the park plans to handle the crowds for media day as the park will be open to the public. There's gonna be a lot of upset people that day.

we all got lanyards and they have metal barricades blocking off the ride. So far no problems.

Oh! On the trains you cannot put your feet flat on the floor. You gotta keep them tip toed or else it cuts up your calves.

I have a few questions for those who rode Goliath today
1. How's the airtime?
2. How's the first drop?
3. How's the inverted zero g stall?

Thank you guys!

Hi guys, I've been following this site for a while now, figured it was finally time to join!

Quick Question

What do you guys think about the restratints on goliath? Ive put on some "muscle" this off season and was wondering if ill be able to fit. Also, has anyone heard about a test seat yet? Don't wanna waste my time in a long line for nothing. Any input would be appreciated!

Muscle shouldn't be a problem. See this pick Scott Schaffer took at the commercial shoot:
