Official Goliath Thread

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Viper 88 on March 4th, 2014, 11:07 am
You guys need to chil out, it will get finished when it gets finished. Better to be put up slow and done right than to be put up like a lightning strike and be loosing bolts while you're going up the lift. And it was a little rude though not as rude as some of the people on the zone. All the anticipation and angst then Goliath's opening day will be here then FF will be over savor the moment It'll come in due time.

But WHY is it on this thread? This is a thread about Goliath, nothing else. If you want to post stupid pictures like this do it on another forum!

It seems like they are painting the track after it's put in place. Why aren't they painting the track before the track goes airborne and put in its place?

Hahaha chill, bro. It's a joke; these pictures are on every forum. Don't take everything too seriously

I don't get why you guys keep going on and on. So what if someone posts something that may be stupid in your eyes. This is a thread about Goliath and if someone has a different view than you there's no reason to keep going back and forth about it. I cant stand when people act like they're in grade school all the time. I could go on all day about how I view this thread to see the progress of Goliath, not post after post of who's stupid and who's not, but honestly just relax and talk about Goliath.

Goliath is getting even taller. They are currently building up the overbank. I believe they are done for the day though.

Thanks for the update! Looking good. The cameras lens distortion always gives me a case of vertigo

I kind of wish the camera was in a different location so we can see the other half of the ride better.

I don't think they're going to do much on the other half of the ride until this part is done, they only got one tall crane. I haven't heard a thing, but maybe they'll move the webcam when that happens. I'm guessing prob not, but can always hope.

Goliath is coming along nicely. The over bank is about 85% complete and I think the next section that should get done is the lift itself. The webcam is in a good enough position, and we will easily see the lift going up from that position.

I'm happy that I got a season pass for 2014 and that it's paid off and just needs to be processed.
It will be so worth it.

Great news for ya, no it doesnt. No processing this year. Each time you enter you just have your pass and your finger scanned.

Hopefully they speed up construction a little bit on this overbank. It's seems to be taking forever! Hopefully within the next two weeks it will be finished. I'm dying to see the lift hill go up as it's my favorite part of any type of coaster construction.
