Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Iron Rattler is steel track. Texas Giant is I-Box.
Goliath is going to be topper track like Outlaw Run (which has been mentioned several times already).

This picture should clear up I-Box (Medusa, Iron Rattler, Texas Giant) vs. the Topper Track that Goliath will use just like Outlaw Run.

RMC said that most of Medusa's track was painted on site so maybe they'll do the same to Goliath's topper track. Either way, it won't affect the ride experience. Orange track or not, it'll be one great coaster.

I don't think station work will begin until at least February.
Right now they gotta focus on getting the ride's structure up.

Wow, I guess I never realized how close Goliath was going to be to the train tracks.

^They really have no choice. It is a narrow plot of land to work with.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

At least there will be a fence between the tracks and Goliath. Right?

They should have done the station work in the fall during Fright Fest.

pretty sure the station work has to happen last, at least after the new structure and track is up in the station area

Why? So you could take pictures of it? Any other reason? Maybe you should send RMC a message since you know what order things should be done in. :-P

I'm going to have to guess that they'll do the work nearest to the train tracks first. I'm hoping for all construction to be completed by Opening Day so the train will be open. Therefore, it's all testing once the park opens.

Keep your fingers crossed we dont get a horrendous winter (one like the winter while X-Flight went up would be nice!) and maybe youll get more than testing when the park opens.

I hope they are on schedule or get ahead of it. It would suck if they fell behind because of bad weather.
The last thing we need is delays.

we were going to go to SFSTL but it was hotter than hell in the armpit of america like 1010 in the shade so we went to the malls instead. It was just too hot if you are going to go in late may of early June anything later until October and you are visiting Satan. Which reminds me he stilll has my Gameboy.

I have the strangest feeling that Goliath will eventually get a tunnel on the first drop like Gold Striker @ California's Great America. I feel like the locals will FORCE SFGAm to add a tunnel on the drop because of noise complaints from the screaming riders.

I wouldn't be surprised either. I wouldn't mind SFGAm putting in a tunnel though though.

That's in California though. They do lots of crazy things out there. Ghostrider and Gold Striker tunnel drops, Maliboomer scream shields. I'm sure there's more.

Well even if the locals tell SFGAm to build tunnel drops, I'm sure they won't do it and tell the locals to deal with the noise.
