I think next year you will see Raging Bull having seatbelts. All the only lapbar coasters are getting seatbelts it seems for Six Flags. Discovery Kingdom has just added Superman seatbelts, Goliath (SFMM) now has seatbelts, and supposedly Full Throttle has added seatbelts.
I would also guess that at Great America Dark Knight will add seatbelts.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
Meh. People will feel (and actually be) safer, and if you don't like them, just keep it loose so you don't even feel it. It's already pretty easy to leave the lapbar relatively loose.
They aren't adding seat belts to TDK or Bull. The only one they may be adding them to is Goliath if that. The was Raging Bull's restraints are designed makes it nearly impossible to fall out. They check the restraints every day and couldn't run if the ride wasn't safe.

I doubt we will be seeing seat belts on RB. I wouldnt be against it if they did though. Seatbelts are safety redundancy and I have no problem snapping an extra seatbelt.
I don't remember where but I read somewhere about Nitro at SFGAd have some type of add-on to their lap bars. However they lasted less than a season because it slowed down the dispatch times and was unnecessary. But that was a while ago. I really hope RB never has seatbelts. That will kill all of the airtime.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)

What airtime?
All it will do is slow down dispatch times. A restraint addition failed with Nitro at GAdv, and they know that B&M have never had a problem with somebody coming out of their restraints.
The Giovanolas getting seat belts doesn't really matter, though, as they have one large hill in the entire ride which provides zero airtime.

actually it was B&M that put the "seatbelts" on Nitro, Silver Star has em too, though after one year and the problems they caused they were no longer required to be used.
Since I'm sure we all use the provided safety equipment/restraints properly every time, adding a seatbelt on Bull or any other ride will have no real noticeable effect other than on capacity.

That's not entirely true. There has been some "close ones".
For example, my fourth grade teacher was on Iron Wolf about 11 years ago when her restraint unlocked while going up the lift hill and unfastened the safety belt. If it wasn't for the tall person next to her to pull it back down, she would've been dead meat.

I've heard stories like this a hundred times. More than likely it's an exaggeration.
It's definitely an exaggeration. Think about what happened when you got back to the station on IW. The restraints didn't just fly open, you had to push them up to get out. Even if the restraint did become fully unlocked on the lift hill, which I would never believe, it wouldn't open up unless someone was actually pushing it up.

Oh wait. I forgot i had the worst fourth grade teacher in the history of the world. She would constantly make up random a** things for "sympathy"

Reminds me of a teenager who tole me her friend peed himself, literally, on the RB lift because his clamshell popped open all the way and he had to pull it down. I told her, knowing about the double ratcheting system making that virtually impossible, that the guy just made up a story to explain why he peed himself.
Going back to the original topic, I doubt we'll know anything until SFOG opens in March since their Goliath will be the first Six Flags owned B&M Hyper to open for the 2014 season.

SFGAm Viper would know this for sure, but I dont think the ride would have left the station with a situation like that.

Yeah that story is BS. The worst that could happen is it was right on one of the clicks and popped up to the next one.

The ride can't leave the station with a lap bar open, the computer system does not let it.

That has happened to me, where it popped open to the next click. Scared the hell out of me when it happened, but I don't think I was in any actual danger.
As for Bull getting seat belts, I've heard about coasters at SFMM getting them due to the TG incident, so I wouldn't be surprised if Bull got them.

That is not unusual, it happens multiple times per day. It's why there are always rows tied off there.
^ Sadly they do. If a guest reports a "restraint failure", the crew has to tie off the row, even though 99.999% of the time, we know there is nothing wrong.
Yeah its like that on all rides. "OMG I swear my lapbar/restraint completely popped up!" Maintenance comes, inspects the seat, makes fun of the crew and unties the row.
