I'll be there Friday, and i'm supposed to ride it tomorrow as my 25th ride of the year on it. If I see them, i'll be sure to post something the minute I get off the ride.

Okay, Where was this exactly posted?! Because its not like them to just post things in the station. If it was in the ride op's booth then you better believe that its not there to mess with us. Also, Many of the sections (East, North, West, and South) Have all each had a "Ride Night" For their members, so it really doesn't surprise me that it would be in the station. With that being said has anyone thought of "Last chance to ride Eagle Blue" as meaning for the season???
EDIT: Remember the 2nd part of the video? There were red side eagle cars, and RC cars. I think that David taking pictures of the trophy was just a distraction from the real hint.
There were at least 3 or 4 of them in the station on the posts on the exit side that would be facing the gates. The one I took the pic of was at the back of the train next to where you put your loose items. They were clearly visible and lots of people were looking at them as they exited the ride
This is awesome. Someone cares enough about us coaster dorks to make our Thursday more exciting.

I thought same thing when I saw them....I was like why would these be posted for everyone to see. Maybe it's the parks way of poking fun at the rumors on screamscape. Then again maybe it's just a clue to go along with the videos they've been releasing
If these were done by a guest they would've had to have gotten permission from the park to put them around because I think it would be hard to not see someone running around the train station plastering flyers around on posts especially if you're the guy that's launching the coaster out of the station because 80% of the time they are talking and looking around
Maybe it'll be going backwards the next day. It's all about wording. Is it the LAST chance to ride blue side going forwards ever, or just this year? They're messing with us, but I really hope their teasers don't end up more exciting than whatever they're announcing.
Coaster Justin wrote:Honestly My best guesses are Some topper track to eagle and a 200+ft Sky Screamer where Orbit Is (Which explains why it's been down/why it hasn't reopened.)
I'm going to disagree with the statement that the reason Orbit is down is just so they can put something else in. The park is probably waiting for a major part for the ride, and a lot of times, parts can take months to make for rides. Sometimes, it's about money (paying for the costly part), and other times it's just a waiting game. Look at East River Crawler. They had another motor for it, and it didn't work right, so they are just going with what they have for now. In my years coming to Six Flags, I have never even seen Orbit down for a major extended amount of time until this year. It happens. Things break on rides.
--------- As for the signs posted, wouldn't it be funny if an enthusiast just posted those up - just to tell people so they wouldn't get rid of the blue side. I wouldnt' be surprised for someone to do that with Eagle because it's ...historic.. blah blah blah...

What if the Southwest amphitheater is not being removed but rehabbed. It would have been nice for igNIGHT to have seating. The Amphitheater could seat a ton for a big show. I don't see anything right now that points to this. Just a random brainstorm.
Yeah, I've been wondering why they didn't put igNight in there in the first place. Think, the Amphitheater holds up to 3,000. They have a large, blank area that could be used for expansion. Also, less ride closures. SW Amphitheater is a PERFECT location for igNight, it just needs to be refurbished and added onto.
I think the reason why they didn't put Ignight in the Southwest Amphitheater is because it's further in the park. They want people to stay in the park later, but they also want people to get closer to the entrance to leave the park. The Ignight area also helps them sell Funnel Cakes easier because it's right there.

Im sure orbit being down is not a choice. When rides have issues they can get on the chopping block though. I hope that doesn't happen any time soon I love orbit!
With igNIGHT Im guessing the main reasons to have it in Hometown Square is it is one of the more staple areas, it is a wide open space with plenty of standing room, it is impossible to miss as your walking by (you could live under a rock and know nothing it would be hard to walk around SFGAm and not see the igNIGHT stage), and the buildings around the area were very useful to place projections and lighting.

Yeah, I found that kind of interesting too, but maybe he forgot to or didn't want to because he had to write so many posts for the day.
This just in... 2015 is going to bring us... A. The Great American SkyScreamer B. Increased Admission Prices C. Increased Parking Prices D. More Gaping Holes ***Trip Reports May Vary***
Hopefully with the new 2014 attraction, they also revamp igNight with new projections and a new plot, as well as new songs. Who'd want to see the same exact thing every single year with that show? Maybe since it's Wrigley's 100th anniversary next year, make it start around the construction of Wrigley, then go to the streets near Wrigley, then have two lovers meet at a Cubs game! Even though i'm a Brewers fan, that would be pretty neat.

This is a light show not a Romantic play off of broadway

Ever seen a show at Disney? Illuminations has been practically the same since 1999 and I'll miss it whenever it changes. Not that I'd want igNight to stay the same, just saying.
I really do not want IgNight to come back at all next year and if it does I hope there are better performers... I do not know if it was just the one night I saw... but man did everyone struggle through it.

How do we even know that the performers are professionals? I mean, they said they bring in professionals for all their shows, but it doesn't really seem like it

They aren't.... not at all. I knew a couple people who were in their shows. They have talent but not professional talent. Technically if you are paid though you are a professional. So.... they are?
The annoying thing about it is how many times have they performed that show. I saw it in late July, They probably performed it like a total of about a thousand times by then(including practice). Also the SAME moves over and over again and I just people screwing it up OVER AND OVER again... IgNight you're drunk GO HOME!
Hank Salemi (park president) is drinking a "Full Throttle" energy drink and the folders say Guiness World Record. Could we breaking the largest loop that Full Throttle set this year or is this just to throw us off?

Full throttle....oh boy....wonder if thats one of the hints....the whole world records must of been in there to throw people off! But than again I May be wrong?
They hold Guinness World Record sign and focus on Giant Drop area and mention Southwest Territory too. Not thinking Skyscreamer because Texas has 400 foot already and Gurnee cannot go that high.
... aaaand Southwest Territory re-emerges as a possibility. Fascinating.
As well as something "record setting," obviously. OK. With a height variance. Whelp, can't be a new, taller drop tower: Lex Luthor is 400+ feet at Magic Mountain, and we know they can't top that. Speed record? Something launched? Eh, maybe.
Could a redone Eagle Blue be part of Southwest Territory? Seems like it would be hard to do. Could they just do away with Eagle Blue and install something different over there in its place? (I actually like this better than trying to refurb Eagle Blue and not Eagle Red.)
Also, David must be the worst Six Flags employee in the history of their ownership of Great America. I mean, for Pete's sake, an offense so bad he has to see the park president? How is this dude not fired already?
Not a lot of answers here, but some ideas, plus, some things we didn't like start to seem less likely.
And the plot thickens ...
