"I'm Nick and I haven't rode a coaster since June 10th 2014"
I don't know what the ride might be, but I am really hoping it will be very nice themed and that it will be a dark ride. It would be such a nice addition to the park- and yes they could use the Southwest Territory Trail Blazer spot for it.
Six Flags Ameirca as the number 1 park at SFI.... this is JOKE!
Forget the gimmick video for a second. The fact is that Six Flags has been putting in at least 2 Skyscreamers per year for the past 3 years. In 2011, it was 2. In 2012, it was 3 of them (because one they sent overseas), and this year 2 parks got it. Now, rumor is that Six Flags America is getting a coaster next year. I know it's just a rumor, but I think Screamscape usually knows about when parks get coasters.
That leaves in the US; SFMM, SFGAm, the Great Escape, and SFNE left to get Skyscreamers based on the pattern of Six Flags giving parks Skyscreamers for the past 3 years. Now, Great Escape, I don't really know if they would give one of those. A lot of people think of that park as more as a family type of park rather than a thrill park. So, to me that leaves 3 Six Flags parks left in the US for next year. I don't know what happened to Six Flags New England last year because they got approved for one, but than it didn't happen. So, are they going to put one in that park for next year, I don't really know? In my eyes, next year I see 2 Skyscreamers going to 2 out of the 3 parks (SFNE, SFGAm, or SFMM) to continue the pattern.
And about people mentioning dark rides... The park probably thinks they have 2 like dark rides already. One being the Dark Knight, and the other being Buccaneer Battle. Someone might say that Buccaneer Battle is definitely not a dark ride, but I'm on the side that it partially is LIKE a dark ride. It has the props like a dark ride would, and a number of "dark rides" are boat rides. It's just not in a building. I would have much rather had a Sally ride than Buccaneer Battle. That's for sure.

^I don't think we would get that Twist N Splash thing at all. The park has Buccaneer Battle, and it's in the same order of that type of ride. Sure, it's a tiny bit different, but you shoot water guns at people. I can see that ride going in any other Six Flags park, but I would never think they would put that in Great America because of similarities.
I disagree with Six Flags putting in more water rides at these parks when they have waterparks very close by most of them. To me, the weather seems to be getting worse and worse, and thus why put in water rides when people are not going to ride much during morning & evening, and the weather is making it even worse than what it was before. I'm sure Six Flags will do it though. Also, there are a few months when most of the water rides aren't even open.

When I drove past the Grand Ave. entrance today, I noticed a Village of Gurnee "Zoning Hearing Pending" sign right on the corner next to the flower bed and the big sign. I didn't have time to take a picture or look at it closely since I was driving, but there are usually dates on those signs when that area will be discussed for future expansion at a village meeting...

Now things are getting interesting. I still say this points to Sky Screamer or Coaster....I originally thought it was a flat, but I can't think of any other flat that needs a Zoning Hearing.

Well, with that, I'm going to completely ignore the teaser and say we're getting a SkyScreamer. It's the only thing requiring a variance that seems even remotely likely this soon after X Flight.
And remember, teasers often mean nothing except to get people talking. Remember, last year, one of the igNight teasers had a lot of people convinced American Eagle was getting the "Rocky Mountain treatment"
Agreed it most likely looks like a Skyscreamer (those those still seem to have issues). If so, then I wonder which ride is going to be removed for it? Condor or Whirligig? If it is in Condors place, might have a Superman / Lex theme; if by Batman it could have a Batman, Joker theme. I guess the "Journey" could be the journey to the top of the ride? Also wonder if they would consider making it over 300 feet since Sky Trek Tower is the only ride they ever broke the 300 foot height with.

I'm guessing the height will be around 240-245ft. That seems to be how tall Six Flags builds them unless they're either going for the record (SFOT and SFNE), or dealing with a lower height limit (SFDK). As for location, I'm not expecting any flat rides to be removed.

They purposely messed with us enthusiasts on that. That one teaser had a large sheet and a drawing that was pretty clearly coaster-like. Oh you marketing folks ... why do you toy with us so? (And I know you read these kinds of boards. C'mon. Don't do that to us. That's just kind of cruel.)
I'm not going to say SkyScreamer just yet. OK, it could potentially be something tall.
It is stamp on a rock mountain so it could just be another new show located at the Southwest ampitheater it is brown and they still have that big brown rock mountain in the stage dang no ride for us.I doubt its a coaster themed to a mountain.
According to screamscape, cajun is being moved to six flags America. So if this is the truth they might redo the entrance to the picnic area to make room for a sky screamer there

It's DIRT!!! You know when you build a new ride, and they move dirt around. The dirt is also a darker color to hide the outlined black images. Later, I found a crocodile = Ragin Cajun bye bye, a hat = Texas in which everything is big in Texas or that SFOT just got a giant Skyscreamer last year, and than 2 black outlined of Skyscreamer parts.
I assume that is where everyone is saying, we are getting something in Southwest Territory (based on the hat), but I highly doubt that.

This place is active, it's crazy. Anyways I just tipped screamscape to the hidden images in the teaser, I'm not sure if they will look at it or anything. But expect that to be up there soon

Yeah they may be bringing in the money, but I feel like we have some sort of contribution to that... no? I'm not really familiar with how much space they all have to work with, but I do think that we should get a coaster next year.
My dream (Although would be a capacity Nightmare) is a ride like Maverick! But knowing how trends go, I'm sure Magic Mountain will get another thrilling coaster...probably a wing coaster like ours.
This happens way to much... I believe 2013 was six flags magic mountain's third year in a row getting a coaster...making five coasters as they got three for 2011

^ Magic Mountain didn't get a coaster in 2012, and they only got two new ones in 2011. You guys should know that Magic Mountain is a completely different type of park in a different market. Getting coasters every year or so is how they survive. MM is a thrill park in a market full of family parks, Great America is a family park in a market without much competition. SF isn't just favoring MM, they're making smart decisions on how to keep the park alive.
I tried to make a Eurofighter that took up the space that Cajun occupies (about 20 m x 58 m) and it's pretty much impossible to get a good layout out of that unless you can get Stengel and Wardley to work some form of collaborative wizardry.

I know I am way off... LOL... but S&S SWAT could fit by Viper. Between exit and entrance path- plus path is easy to move if needed. Unless that ride does not require height permit. If it does (and makes sense with the zone boarding sign), than would be nice addition, themed to "mine"- something related to the video. Plus we didn't get any extreme rides in a while.
Just saying
