Queue area looks pretty good from the various Opening Weekend pictures floating around. Very disappointed to read that this coaster is quiet. This isn't a knock against the ride, but it doesn't look like it has the speed* to produce much more than the whoosh of wind that the large surface area of the trains displace. I guess that fits in with the stealth aircraft theme.
*Yes, I'm aware it's top speed is greater than Batman's. Batman maintains it's rate of speed for most of the ride, this one loses a lot of it with the zero-g roll.
Edit- Going back a few posts, I see it mentioned that this has the sand to dampen it's noise. Is this confirmed or is it speculation? Superman doesn't have it but doesn't produce much noise either because it crawls through a good chunk of it's layout.
The lines for me at pass processing weren't bad at all today. I got to the park around 10 and then waited till 2 to get my pass, and there wasn't a single person in front of me or behind me, no waiting at all.
I was hoping the ride time from 9-10 was going to be small, but the line for upgrade was huge on opening day. I wonder what they will do if all xtrem pass don't get on in that hour time frame. At 10 you know everyone will be running to X - Flight.

Since when does "How loud the coaster is" make it better? I dont get that... And Superman makes quite a bit of noise.
ok so i was thinking a little bit. do you think that when the people for the season pass are let into the line for x flight there will be people from the extrem pass still waiting in line?

Just a personal preference. I'm not the only one in the world that prefers hearing Kumba from anywhere in Florida over not being able to hear Kraken even if I wore an ear trumpet and stood next to it. Judging from chatter on message boards, some people evidently got a lot out of the kind of wheel covers the train will wear. I wouldn't skip a beat if there were no wheel covers.
So all you 50 commerical makers. Are there bins for storing in the station?
Candy: What you lookin' at? Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama. Candy: Yeah, you see something you like? Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.
^They have normal everyday people to ride the coasters for commercials. They did this for Magic Mountain either this year or last year. I think they were given $50 for riding the coaster a lot of times. I think it was Riddler's Revenge they were riding. Don't quote me on the price, but it had to be in that ballpark. They could pay employees I guess to ride them..
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
^ I don't think that these people were paid. I think that being able to ride X-Flight early is basically their payment, and was the only thing mentioned in the contest to be in the commercial shoot.
I vaguely remember for the Raging Bull commercial shoot/media day, they were unhappy with the footage and ended up reshooting a bunch of the stuff with employees decked out in normal clothing. At one time I could name about 1/4 of the people in all the Bull promo stuff
I gotta guess most of the footage from today will not be used, gray skies never look good on brochures, TV, etc.

There was a Facebook contest for it. I believe it was the first 50 people to comment on the post or something like that. All I know is, if you didn't refresh your page right when the post went up, you basically had no chance! 50 was gone in less than a minute.
So one last season pass question; Can you do your pass processing before the park opens. If I got there a 9:30 this Saturday could I do it then? Sorry for all of the question, first year with a pass.
^They could just give a tint like they did with the Z-force commercial, and others. I bet the Apocalypse commercial has fire and stuff. It should proceed a commercial for a pain reliever.
Ehhh... they will have all kinds of fire, fog and the *look how hard I rock* dark overtones to it. Screw it, just have GWAR edit it. They will have all those effects plus flying heads and limbs and stuff...
I had a friend in the Shockwave commercial. Which I have on VHS in the basement somewhere. I know it's on youtube as well, but the quality is crappy.
I don't think so, you have to go to the Season Pass Processing center in Hometown Square, unless you can do it at Guest Services, but I don't think so.

+1
You and I need to seriously meet at the park. "Older" guys who love metal
^Very cool. But don't plunk me in the *metal head* category. I like to think I have a variety of good tastes... Ramones, Sabbath, Gwar, Misfits, Blondie, Devo, X, Stones, pre-1980 AC/DC... And no, I don't shop at hot topic

I'mgoing to buy my season pass online this week and then hopefully i will be going this weekend. The question is that after i get into the park, how long does it take to process my pass and could i also go on rides while thats happening or do I have to wait for all that to be done. i dont know why ive never gotten the pass, i pretty much only go once a year but now i will be going more frequently! thanks everyone
Once you get the online voucher go to Hometown Square, and get into line for Season Pass Processing.
If you are planning on trying to ride X Flight prepare to stand in line quite a while as at park open anyone with an Xtreme Pass or Season Pass can ride the ride. If the lines are as long as they were Saturday I could see you waiting an hour. Call a Customer Service Rep, if you have the paperwork that shows you have a season pass, they may allow you to ride it without the plastic pass itself. Worth a try...
if you wait until later, like 12 or 1, season pass waiting should be minimal I'd guess, as everyone will be on X Flight the line.
