Anyways, X-Flight might start testing around the 2nd week of April.
Yeah they just did that this offseason where they do maintnance on the coaster cars. I like the old seats better, it looks so wierd that the seats are new and the restraints are old and dirty
I think that the harnesses should have been replaced before the seats because of how bad the yellow looks now, but on certain seats, they had duct tape, and they probably thought that was more of a priority. And if you get 1 or 2 seats new, it would probably look really weird even though I still would have rather have seen just the seats with duct tape be new, and all new harnesses - at least new padding.

It's official, X-Flight set to open for the public on May 15th. Season pass holders will be able to ride it over the weekend before anyone else. Is it all season pass holders or just Xtreme pass holders?
That's great for pass holders as the line won't be as long, but if were a paying customer for the day and watched pass holders riding it, I would be a bit pissed.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
^Maybe some will buy passes at the park to ride it. You can upgrade your ticket to a pass at the park right? However, it means that I will have to activate my pass first thing.

Sure, you can upgrade your ticket to a pass, but it just seems like a ploy to get more people into buying season passes. It's a terrible idea to do something like this. They are going to make so many non-season pass holders really mad IF they are having X-Flight open during the entire day to only them. The only saving grace I see is that if they say season pass holders can stay 2 hours after the park closes or can come in 2 hours before for them to ride X-Flight. Than, at least it's not in your face other people, you can't ride this ride.
What happens with new rides the first day or two of operational, is that if they are really good ride or an anticipated ride, the line might be 3 hours long. When Diamondback opened, the line looked really nuts. So, my plan is to not ride it at the beginning at all - the first day it's open. This is unless they would have extra hours before or after the park closes / opens.

They have announced exclusive ride time on the 12th before the park is open for Xtreme Pass holders from 9 am to 10 am, so I'd assume that the ride would then be open to the general public when the park itself opens.
As for the video, I think they guy made a mistake and forgot to say xtreme before season pass. But who knows.
Six Flags Great America doesn't seem to communicate well, and will invariably piss people off thinking that it's open on the 5th, or something else...

I bet this is right. Have everyone buy a season pass last year to get free parking, and then come out with some Xtreme pass the next year, $44 more on top of your regular pass. Then say only those with this super new amazing pass gets on first - Well, I hope it is for any pass holder but I am not shelling out more cash to ride this ride day 1.
