Thanks dejavu.
Did they say what the express entry is for the park and the water park means? An hour entry early for early ride time? Separate line for entrance to not wait?
The Q&A didn't seem to go over that. Did you happen to find out later?
^ Xpress entry will be a separate entry lane that will be available all most of the day, but in the morning will open a minute or 2 before the other lanes.
I really don't see the value in that XTreme Pass. My pass was around $55 - $60, and this XTreme Pass is $200 almost. That's $140 increase, and it's not like you are getting everyday early access to rides, you aren't getting a parking pass (like Magic Mountain has a pass with parking - Xtreme Pass I think they call it), you aren't getting a Q-Bot, and even with the extra price you are still paying something for the upcharge attractions. I personally don't see the $140 value.
I also don't understand the tube rentals thing for the waterpark. They are doing a flash pass for the waterpark, but the way it is now is that people can go ahead of you because they have a tube, and you don't. So, why would they give free tube rentals to Xtreme Pass people if they are now having a flash pass thing? What, are they just going to have the Flash Pass thing on certain slides - like 2 Family Raft Slides, the new Family Raft Slide, and the new body slides? Also, they probably would have it on the very low capacity wave thing too.

^ Nor do I see the value.....but Six Flags is in the business to make money. If they can find a way to bring in more cash because there are some schmucks out there that find this to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, then more power to Six Flags.
Not to mention, the Q&A said it's a trial thing GAm is trying. If it doesn't work like they want it to....they'll modify the program or cut it entirely. You never know how sucessful something will be until you try it!

The tube rental is just for Lazy River, so you don't have to wait in line and then get out after 1 round. If you are gonna chill in the lazy river thing, it's worth the 7 bucks, but I agree, the only thing that even makes it remotely interesting is the free exit pass each visit. Oh, and the 2 free tickets.
I would collect all of them and then save them for Fright fest. Crap, I might just have to do that
Found out that the Xtreme Pass will go on sale January 30th at midnight central time for $200 if you don't have a season pass already, or $130 if you do...
Well, it's safe to say I won't be getting one. I would say even $150 might be too much. If it included a few more ERT's (they may add more as the season goes on) and a season parking pass it might be a different story. There isn't enough exclusives to have me upgrade my season pass... even if it was a $100 upgrade.

I think its worth the money You don't have to walk all the wat to Southwest Territory to get in Hurricane Harbor free tube rentels thats about 15 dollars there and the season pass is 64.99 you well be paying 136 dollers and free picnic grove thats about 10 dollars 2 free any time tickets its about 80 dollars value its all rounds up and be the frist ones on x flight ert x flight and the bull.5 attractions the hunted houses are 15 dollars.
Johnny.Ink wrote:I would assume that the ERT's would be happening a lot since they announced 2 - 2 weekends in a row.
I think the reason why the two ERTs are in a row is because towards the beginning of the season the hours are shortened, so they figure they will add 1 hour to one ride on a particular day. The bad thing for the general public though is that you can still have leftover people in the line for let's say the Ert on X-Flight, so that line is going to be longer at the beginning of the day with the remnants of the Ert people.
The problem now that I see though for the Xtreme Pass is that if you don't buy that pass before the season starts, you are already down 2 Erts. For instance, let's say you buy a Xtreme season pass in June, or even July...
Before the tube rental used to be for Lazy River, the 2 bowl slides / teal and yellow tube slides complex (right near the wavepool), the wavepool (only if the pool wasn't to full capacity), and the 4 tube slides in the back of the waterpark (in back of Skull Island). When people were waiting in line for their tubes (that are near the attraction on the ground), the tube rental people can sneek by the other people waiting.

That is very correct Vu. So free tube rentals help for those as well. Since the exit passes don't expire if you go enough it may be a good deal.
I guess it all depends on if you got some extra moohlah to blow
If they added the food pass on it, then it be a slam dunk for me and the boy...
Did anyone ask a question about what's being done with Iron Wolf SPOT? Are they going to have a Basketball Game thing for a year? Also, will Dare Devil Dive still be around or not?

There's already a basketball game not too far from Iron Wolf, so it'll probably just sit vacant or maybe have one of the stands moved for X Flight put there. The webcam is at the top of DDD, so its still there as of there.
Dare Devil Dive was shown on the map section shown at NCC. Looks like it's sticking around, of course besides the fact that's where the Webcam is mounted.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the webcam is lower than the supports for X-Flight.....DDD is taller than X-Flight. I think it's because the webcams data cable can't reach that far. As you all might know, data cables lose data over distance.

Six Flags Great America/Hurricane Harbor The camera can't go any higher since it's at the top of Dare Devil Dive. It's as high as it will go. We also do not have a 2nd camera to install. The camera that's currently up there is the Riptide Bay camera.

That's true that there is one that isn't that far away in County Fair, but who knows if that one is even staying with X-Flight being in that area. Besides that, though there a lot of basketball games within a short distance. One is by Orbit (even though it's the other one), one is by Raging Bull, than that County Fair one, so they don't mind putting in so many within a short distance of each other. Technically, there was a basketball game (It's much shorter though.) across from Deja Vu too, but I don't know if that one is still around or not.
On the other side of the park, you have by the bumper cars, and I think there might be one across from the Big Easy Balloons, but again this is a shorter one than way up in the air.
It just seems like the new standard is putting up a basketball game. Cedar Point takes down Chaos, and they put in a basketball game. When Deja Vu was taken down, up came a basketball game.

I have a guess. I went to class for voice and data cabling this past semester and I would assume that the webcam is running a Ethernet Cable. Data Cables have limits. And an Ethernet can only run 100 meters (approx. 328 feet) Now, we don't know where the end of this cable is, but it's probably in an office somewhere. The further the building is, the less cable that remains to climb the tower of DDD. See my point? I think what Great America meant by "it's as high it can go" is because the of the webcams limits.

Got ya! It makes sense now. Thanks.
