Now that's just crazy talk.
Nope. Im right. Ive seen em. Check it out which judging from the post you haven't.
Dude, not to be a troll or anything, but seriously. Reality Check: RCT is not, and never was really capable to recreate coasters. No Limits is CAPABLE, but that doesn't mean people are good at it, I've seen terrible recreations, and awesome ones. RCT3, it's a no-brainer.

Necropolis wrote:I don't think that will benefit anyone really. I mean have you really heard of anyone going to the park alone? Sure maybe a parent will let their kid ride alone on a ride while the parent waits outside the queue but going alone is kind of strange? awkward? weird? IDK. I can see if someone lives real close and decides to just check out the place and maybe kill some time by going on a few coasters and then going home right way, but really most people spend most of their day there...in groups I will add. I can't see someone spending a whole day alone at the park. If you have a child and want that single ride option like on Ragin Cajun', you might as well get your child a flash pass. They'll be in and out in a jiffy. Its almost the same if you look at it.
I sometimes go to ride plus it gets me on rides faster if theres a party of 3 i hitch a ride with them. Plus if you are with a group of people and are going to be in separate cars anyway why not go single rider. if you were by yourself would you want to wait 2 hours for one ride or wait in single rider and average 5 minutes a wait getting on the ride roughly 24 times in 2 hours? In Disney World they have this concept down. I worked in the Disney college program from august through may at Magic Kingdom's Pirates of the Caribbean and Animal Kingdom's Expedition Everest. I have seen a solid two hour wait for Everest running FIVE trains each filled with passengers 2 across 17 rows long. The single rider line was the best bet on days like those because who honestly wants to wait in the hot sun in long lines when you can be selected to fill in an empty seat. THAT IS MY BIGGEST PEEVE empty seats! It is So annoying seeing 4 seats on raging bull that could have been filled in. plus if great america is so focused on making numbers like any other park out there they should take this into consideration and try it. some rides would be difficult to apply this single rider queue like batman has limited space but rides like demon bull superman can have it at station platform exit or at bottom of stairs of bull and superman. when the employee sees empty seats they can grab a few guests to fill in the seats. some people do go ride all day because they wait on average 1 and a half hours a ride times 8 good coasters which adds up to 12 hours.
My wife is disabled and she can't ride i like to get on and off asap. I think its dumb to see a ride like Bull go by on busy day with lots of empty seats. Plug the ride full with single riders!
That's why I love CP. They normally force all seats to be filled if the line is full which is why they turn an hour wait into a 45 minute wait. The literately wouldn't let Maverick run the first train until it was completely filled up, then they started the ride and eventually the line sped up with pre-announced single rider calls. I wish SFGAm did the same.

I have a roller coaster moral dilema, I just want people's opinions regarding this question,
If an entire row is empty or nearly empty and ride ops make no attempt to fill the seats, should you or should you not get back on the ride if you just got off the last ride?
^That depends, sometimes the ride ops are planning to fill the seats with exit passes or Disability passes. It doesn't matter much now, I don't expect the park to be dead again anytime soon. Welcome to Fright Fest!

Some ride ops will actually prevent people from doing that. I've seen some people turned away when they tried to reride an empty row (and it wasn't reserved for anyone, it was just empty because people wanted to wait for the next train).
Now, I completely agree that a huge effort should be made to fill empty seats, and a lot of the empties are caused by stupid people. But at the same time, I often find myself annoyed at the ride ops who close the gates way too quickly. Often, there has to be a least SOME communication between people before a group can just walk out and take some empties, otherwise you could have lots of people rushing into the center of the station. However, in this short time period, the gates often close before anyone can make a move. I see this every time I go.
I appreciate the ride ops' sense of urgency; I know they want to get the train out ASAP. BUT, if they simply waited a few more seconds to let people MOVE, then they'd save much more time in the long run with higher ridership.

only one little problem with that statement. Look at Demon for example, With three trains they need to be sent rather quickly to prevent the people on the trains from waiting on the brake run. The choice is to inconvenience the other riders while filling in EVERY SEAT, or Send the trains more often so people get on and off right away. The better choice is obvious when it comes to capacity.

Goku1910 wrote:^If people would LISTEN and use some common sense that wouldn't be an issue. The GP simply doesn't know they are free to fill in empty seats.
The problem is the GP usually won't listen and never will. That means a simple single rider call out is helpful. It's an extra task for the ride ops unfortunately, but kind of helps.

If the row I'm in is empty or empty enough to still have an open seat for me, I'll re-ride until someone is there. I've never had a problem with doing that at SFGAm. The worst that happens is a ride op tells you to get off.
^^No Offense but you just contradicted yourself. If a single rider is part of the GP and a ride op calls him/her out, they're not listening because we both agreed the GP simply doesn't listen. Single Riders can be part of the GP too.
And since everyone here knows how single riding works, why do you complain of ride ops not making announcements? If anything, it's your advantage.

O M G the last two posts regarded "X-Flight" despite the wow-ness of the stupidity & sarcasm in them haha. X....eXtreme. ;D I don't like the name, but my opinion doesn't matter in that aspect & doesn't need to because were getting the best SF addition for 2012. Now that's an opinion I think many will agree with depending on taste.

I didn't mean they won't listen to the calls, I meant they won't respond without any notification from a worker. I didn't realize you were referring to call outs as well. I meant without any notification, a single rider isn't always going to bump ahead of a group to get on an empty seat.
If some people would pay attention or be kind enough, they would ask someone behind them if they want to move up (if they are a single rider) if there is an empty seat but more times than not I see them just standing around waiting to get their ride in which causes a few empty seats. Only problem as I said before, they won't listen to others most of the time unless it's a worker so this is useless. That's why a call out is needed from a ride op.

I would agree with that statement. S: UF @ SFDK looks cool to but the capacity is going to suck. As long as X-Flight isnt forceless I think it will be a ton of fun.

I just figured it out. It doesn't mean extreme...
From Wikipedia: "The X-planes are a series of experimental United States airplanes and helicopters (and some rockets) used for the testing and evaluation of new technologies and aerodynamic concepts. Some members of the series have been well publicised, while others, such as the X-16 project, have been developed in secrecy.[1]
The first of the X-planes, the Bell X-1, became well known as, in 1947, it was the first aircraft to break the sound barrier in level flight"

Is a B2 Bomber an X-plane then? I think that's the plane being used for X-Flight's logo. It would make sense because of the seats hanging off the track kind of remind me of these wings.
Sorry it's a large photo. I wasn't sure when posting a link as an image how to make it smaller.
