The removal of Iron Wolf is 'supposed' to be the site of a future new attraction 2013/2014. X-Flight will take over the abandoned area of Splashwater Falls/ Great America Raceway.

My thoughts are that '13/'14 will see the addition of a Zac-Spin-Eurofighter-Windseeker/Star Flyer for that area. Hope it's not the Windseeker....I think we could use one, but the view from that area of the park would be 50% be employee parking lot...yawn.

We shall see. :?:

WHY would all the work be going on in the SWF area is the ride was going where Wolf is still standing? Didn't you know about the markings all over the area in County fair?

Do you have this confirmed that it's going to be an attraction for 2013 or 2014? How do we know that they don't just move Dare Devil Dive, they don't just move let's say the Skeeball, the Karaoke Stage, the artist portrait thing, the smoking section, and maybe the Basketball game over there?

^ We do not. I think DDD will be moved there. It will be tight there with X Flight taking up so much of that relatively small area.

There is no reason to move Daredevil Dive the new ride is going to fit next to it, for whatever reason they didnt include it in the animation. You can see in the renderings that the ride doesn't even get close to where the Skycoaster is.

Nope I did not.

On a relevant note, I happened to be on SFGAM's wiki page and X-Flight will be the first coaster of its kind to be unveiled in North America. :D Opening day of X_Flight will definitely, hopefully be swarming with security and cops probably trying to catch line cutters and potential fights. I wonder if those people who always try and get the last ride on Bull will be there  Looks like flash pass sales will be big next year probably.

Wikipedia lies. Unless Dollywood runs into MAJOR construction issues/delays, their B&M WingRider Wild Eagle will open in March.

The only real 3D rendering of the rides near X-Flight in the animation was demon and the buildings. Everything else looked like a photo. If most of those backrounds were just photos, they show no depth, so how close or how far X-Flight is from Eagle/Dive is hard to determine.

Key word there: "unveiled" In wikipedia terms, that means "announced". And we don't even know if the ride will have Flash Pass.

Since this will be the first coaster in years that actually appeals to thrill seekers and that it would definitely mean long lines, why wouldn't the park want to drive up the flash pass sales?

^ Looking at this years additions, it's hard to tell what they'll do. GL @ SFMM isnt on the pass at all, GL @ GADv is, and DDD @ SFOG is only on the Platinum pass, but costs an extra $15 for one ride. I hope it's just not on at all for the first year or two.

Flash Pass for X-Flight should be fine. It was just a horrible idea to implement it on Dark Knight and Ragin Cajun as those two have the worst capacities in the park. Any other ride, there isn't really a difference when people with Flash Passes cut in front of you... How much longer do you wait, 5 more minutes? I'd wait that long if I was in line for X-Flight, no biggie.

They could be going the Universal route of not putting a ride on a Flash Pass until 1-3 years after it opens.

How would it be implemented is the big question. Where it the world would the put it? There's already going to be multiple stairways for the entrances and employee access. The only way I see this happening is if the Flash Pass integrated at the point where the line splits for the two sides of the station and then each queue is split in half to accommodate the flash pass riders until the point where they get up the stairs to the chutes (air gates). And even then, that's complicated. They could always go the Demon route

Flashpass wouldn't be any different on this ride than with any other ride, have it merge somewhere right before the station. Not really complicated at all. I would imagine it being similar to X2 where it merges right where the ramps that lead to the station are and someone is there to control it so the lines are not extending down the ramps (similar to SUF at Great America).

I still think it'll be a weird integration. It will be like superman except doubled. This is going to be problematic, especially if Flash Pass is implemented any season AFTER the ride opens. The only thing that will be "problematic" about it will be the fact that loading/unloading will take twice as long as a normal coaster because you have to wait for everyone to completely exit the station before opening the station gates which slows down the capacity a lot.

Even though I have no knowledge of if they plan on having Flash Pass or not, I guarentee you they designed the queue for it. Also, once again I am almost 100% sure they will have it considering how much money the park makes off of it. Back when SUF opened (didn't have it in 2003) Fast Lane was not nearly as much of a revenue generator as the current Flash Pass system is, whether it will be an additional upcharge or not I think will be the question. The only thing that will be "problematic" will be the demand in relation to the rides throughput, considering it will take twice as long to load this ride due to having to wait for everyone to exit the station before opening the station gates.

The more rides the Flash Pass gets, the more the price hikes. That's been noticeable over time. The Dark Knight....

Keep in mind though, Flash Pass rides are down 1 now due to Iron Wolf taking a hike. So price shouldn't change.

If I gotta pay an extra $15 to get Flash Pass Platinum and ride this thing twice, whatever... I only do it like once or twice a season ;)

Despite the one ride loss the prices will still go up, even if it's $10. I think so because it's a new ride and it's a great way to make some moolah.

answering all questions about which way it will be laid out if you watch the video the "drop in" while upside down you can see a road and a shadow from the southwest territory sign and the turn after the Demon's corkscrew finale and while flying through the zero G you can see the eagle. Then going through the immelman you're facing towards bull and sky trek. so the ride is going parallel to the demons screws

You'd also think at some point soon American Eagle will be Flash Passed
