Pictorium?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Look's like Hell are they going to demo it for a ride in that area? Maybe they could gut the inside and use it for a Fright Fest attraction. The outside just looks very uncared for. The Dick Clark show is a waste of time.

I have been to Great America 6 times this year so far and each time sighed at what has happened to the once grand Pictorium. Not to mention how sad it is waiting in the old Theatre Royal to ride Dark Knight. I am betting they were going to move the Go Karts and tear down the Pictorium as part of putting Chang in. Now that Chang is headed to New Jersey who knows what they have planned.

I personally think they should get IMAX equipment back in there and make it into a real IMAX movie theater and run like Dark Knight in IMAX for an upcharge.

I don't think the Pictorium is going anywhere! Last year I noticed how bad the building really was but at the start of this season actually saw some patch work being done. I haven't really paid any attention to what has happened since the start of the season, but I highly doubt they would remove it.

It is nice to see that Susan Rosen will be in there insted of Southwest Amp though. :D

Each time I go it just says "No Show Today".
I would say it's days are numbered, depending on what they put next to Sky Trek and when they plan to do it.
If they do expand HH, that would really give them a lot more with Pictorium gone.
Pictorium is one of the first attractions you see heading to right and to have it basically abandoned doesn't look to good.
they did take the name off a while again (that was painted on the side)
Just my 2 cents.

They took the name off?! My bets is that they were either planning on using it as Chang Queue and pre-show, so now they found a new use for it, or it's just going to be used whenever it might be needed, or something.

^The Pictorium name is still on the building. You might be referring to when they had Marvin the Marsian cartoon in there, and they covered up the name I think.

Waterpark expansion a new giga coaster maybe who knows. It will probably cause SF a lot of money to demolished and replace Pictorium so im guessing Marvin the martian 3d coming back or any kind of new 3d movie show with the popularity of 3d movies now who knows what theyll do.

Im sure a compact ride like X2 could fit in the SSA/Pictorium area.

Considering the other Great America park designed an entire coaster to go around their SBNO Pictorium, I'd say it is safe.
