Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and nobody is forcing anyone else at gun point to buy a season pass. Let people boycott if they want, truly does it matter?
Weber knows what he is doing people. Boycott all you want, it won't make a difference in anything. You know that you will infact end up buying a season pass anyways. Over reacting much?
Six Flags Great America is doing fine at what it does. Being a great water park, family friendly park, with a decent amount of coasters. 14 is a lot for a park that size. Its enough. Weber knows what he's doing. Great Adventure is a whole different market. Does Great America have the new "More coasters, more flags, more fun" campaign like Great Adventure and Magic Mountain? No. Great Adventure and Magic Mountain are the coasts extreme parks.
Unfortunatly, if the water park is expanded to where Chang was supposed to go, the next time a new coaster is added, another ride will likley have to be removed.

Now. I have, on good word, information about Chang. Chang is indeed still planned for Great America, and if plans are correct, will have all new trains with on-board audio. I don't know if it will be a new type of train, but new trains. The other trains will be put on Iron Wolf during the off-season to be tested for the regular season.
You can choose to believe me, or not. I've heard this from a friend who is a coaster nut just like us.

Consider that source carefully: a friend of yours that is a coaster nut just like us. The only sources that say Chang is going to SFGAdv are other coaster enthusiasts that live near SFGAdv. There are even others that think it's going to SFA which I think started only as a typo on the Coaster Fusion forum. These are not credible sources.
I've heard of Coaster Fusion before they "raided" the forum. All they did was state the latest rumors of Chang going to Great Adventure, don't be angry at them. I don't know why all of you are so surprised by this move, I mean Six Flags has been known to do some random things in the past.

So I just called Six Flags Great Adventure and talked with the operator, and I plain out asked him "Will you be removing the Great American Scream Machine" and he responded "For a new ride?" and I said "Yes" and he then responded "Maybe". Yeah and I actually thought Weber cared a little bit more about the coaster enthusiasts than Shapiro. Not that he didn't care it's just that his goal was not to get coasters for parks (except magic mountain)

I don't think you should graduate high school with that grammar. Also, someone else has pointed out, Screamscape doesn't confirm anything. They post almost every rumor they hear, so that doesn't make it a confirmed fact.

And to the people who are saying "I thought Webber cared about coaster enthusiasts like us", he does. He believes in variety, and giving a stand-up coaster to a park that already has one makes no sense.
Chang is going to GADV. The operator would have never said "maybe" if the answer was no, because he would risk getting people excited over nothing.

Six Flags Great Adventure responded to a post on their facebook page. Here it is.
Six Flags Great Adventure: Andrew...I believe G.A.S.M. is an Arrow Coaster, not S&S. Second since when are team members allowed to make announcements, this sounds like a back of house issue to me and if it's a rumor and/or not public knowledge, don't think you have the authority to make the announcement or confirmation. Third, I guess we'll see how true your statement is on July 1.
As of now, no there is no set date if/when Scream Machine will close, but believe me when I say, you all will be the first people to hear of any breaking news we have!!
