If they were going to stop Chang right now and send us something big (above 125ft) you would see it on the agenda for the zoning board. So IF they were stopping Chang but giving us something above 125ft you would see their names for the meetings. And why would Weber just stop the plans now, is there even any proof? (Besides the fact that SFGAm will not be at the meeting.)

With Shapiro, yes it was Chang under a new name and theme. With Weber, I have no clue. I'm no longer in the loop anymore, I will be soon. I didn't even know my park president was let go. Anything is now possible guys.

I vote that this thread become, "The Chang Saga"! hahah!
This is all crazy for one, & two David, I think one name change on the topic is enough haha. What did I have originally posted as before it was locked then reopen? haha

You should probably look at the schedule for when all the Village of Gurnee Meetings are held. There is only 2 per month.
The next one after tomorrow is set for July 12th. Here is the full schedule for 2010
I feel that before we go all crazy over this, lets see if SFGAm is on the July 12th agenda, or another one in the future. There are 12 more Village Meetings between now and the end of the year. Just because someone changed their mind and pulled out of tomorrow's meeting, does not mean they will not be on a future one.
In fact, there was actually a meeting on June 7th. No one got all upset or wigged out over the fact that the park could have been on that agenda and was not.
I think we all need to take a few deep breaths, stand up from the computer, and get outside for a few hours (or days). Its a nice hot day today, why not go OUTSIDE and go to the park, and enjoy what we have?
Why would we want a 21 (22 at time of supposed opening) year old coaster? And FYI I'm pretty sure the foot print of GASM is much larger (in some respects) than the projected Chang area. Just doesn't make sense, I'll believe it when I see it.
As for the rumor, it sounds more reasonable than SFGAm getting the ride, but at the same time it sounds dumb. That park doesn't need in my opinion another big capacity roller coaster B&M.
