Hey FParker185: As Hank was leaving the village hall tonight, he asked if anyone was coming out to the park tomorrow. We all said no that we were not invited. We asked if it would be open tomorrow, and he said either Friday or Saturday.

So, just wanted to verify what you have said. In the past, you have been spot-on, so its probably true.

I'll probably go tomorrow morning anyway, just in case it does open!

Regarding the differences in minimum height for Little Dipper: We received info from an operations guy a couple of weeks ago. The 48" printed on the guide map brochure is a misprint. It will be started at 42", and if that proves to be a problem, it may be altered. I am just SO GLAD that we have this beautiful ride now in our park! We have needed a junior woodie for a long time and it just fits in so well! Three cheers to Great America for rescuing this treasure, and for "keeping the history alive"!!! By the way, there is a Facebook posting from the park tonight that says ribbon cutting for Little Dipper is at 10 Am Thursday, May 27. :P
We should all remember to be thankful to have a world-class theme park like Six Flags Great America here in our local area!

Can someone that is going to media day today find out why this coaster does not have a 36" ride height? Thanks.

^ I was at the park yesterday, and the ride rules sign at Little Dipper's entrance says riders must be 42" to ride alone and 36" to 42" can ride with adult.

What media (What channel?) is covering the Little Dipper today? For ch 9, they were talking about Sue the Dinosaur, and Fox was talking about the American Idol guy. Check Fox website, and didn't find any video about Six Flags??

Almost all morning media would miss the ride, but there's a good chance you'll see it at noon, five, and ten.

As for the ride, it looks totally amazing. They did a great job repainting and landscaping around the coaster in the past couple of days. Thinking about going down tomorrow and getting some pictures.

It opened around 6 tonight and even came over the PA system to say it was opened. The queue line is very impressive and gives great new photo chances for Batman. They were having problems with row 7 and it was blocked off when I got on. Also, expect very long lines so ride early or be prepared for a long wait.

Do you think they might add a second train to reduce lines?

No, but they do have the train come to a complete stop before the station. So theoretically, they could.

What are your opinions on it (the people that got on it)? Is it slower than Kiddieland if you have been on it when it was at Kiddieland; like the guy from Kiddieland said?

Rode it tonight, and I think it's perfect for the park. First of all, SFGAm didn't half ass this one, the paint looks great, the signs look great, and it just fits and reinvents Bugs Bunny National Park. They have 50's music playing in the queue (which will be atleast an hour and a half when full) which is filled with signs about the coaster and other six flags rides. One fun game to play in the queue is finding how many grammar errors were made on the signs, clearly nobody copy edited the signs before printing.

As for the ride, it's a perfect kiddie coaster. Skid brakes are still on it, and its just fun. That's kinda all there is to it. Don't expect something incredible, just something fun for the whole family.

Overall, great job Six Flags. Can't wait for Chang next year. :D

It did feel a lot slower, but I wonder how much of that is due to it needing to broken in.
