I thought Chang was 154 feet tall?
The difference in height could also be because they plan on building the first drop in a valley in the ground similar to some of the drops on Raging Bull!!!
What's really funny, is that you think I'm from the GP (General Public). When indeed, I most likely know far more about the coaster, as I've rode it multiple times.
^yeah, that doesn't make much sense....Hmmm...guess we will have to wait and see... maybe we are getting both Chang AND a waterpark expansion? I have no idea anymore..
Have a take and don't suck, it's the Jim Rome Show!
The likely hood that any other park will receive a NEW B&M right after exiting bankruptcy is slim. The only park I can see getting a new B&M is Magic Mountain, the beloved child.

Snapped that photo on Monday. Rock wall. And those footers are way too big to be anything else.
The only problem with that is, Chang is nearly confirmed for the "space-port" area. Maybe something like a flat? I really don't know but those footers are NOT in the SSA area, so I doubt they're for Chang.

SFMM is not "the beloved child". SFMM has to compete with KBF, USH, and freaking Disneyland. Of course the park is going to need a way to attract new guests every year, whether you like it or not. SFGAm has absolutely no competition in this area, so SFI doesn't need to pump money into the park to keep people coming. If the park didn't receive a mega attraction in the next ten years, people would still come. This park already has plenty to get people to come back every year.
^ Indeed, but Six Flags can add attractions other than coasters to attract the public. As much as you think the park is advertising to families, the coaster section should not be longer than the families section, that is outrageous! The park wants to compete with Dineyland, then don't add a thrill ride yearly! Believe it or not, the park -huh- WILL loose attendance if they add NOTHING.

Disneyland has the history that makes people want to go there, no matter what they add. SFMM is adding Mr. Six's Dance Coaster, Mr. Six's Splash Island, and already has a Thomas Town. People my age get excited to go to SFGAm, whether or not they're adding a new attraction. To the GP, SFGAm already has PLENTY of thrills. My GP friends have already gone to the park three times this season, and all that was added to the park was MagiQuest so far. SFGAm ISN'T marketing their park and business to coaster enthusiasts, they are marketing it to the general public. The GP speaks amazingly of Raging Bull and Superman, although we know that they are sub-par when compared to the world's collection of coaster.
SFMM added TS:TR last year, which can easily be classified as a coaster that a family with kids 8+ can ride. The year before that, they transformed X2, AND added a huge Thomas Town section. Now, Six Flags is NOT a Universal or Disney, but they are trying to appeal their product to every demographic.
I know that this is the Chang thread, but it just bothers me when coaster enthusiasts complain about upper level management. Six Flags is a business, and they are out there to make money, whether or not you think that their decisions are wrong.
