If anything i were to complain about, its the ridiculous high prices for food. I dont wanna have to leave the park to go to the other restaurants like mcdonalds or burger king but to save $$$ I kinda have to. Plus Im already tired to leave the park to go out and eat, then come back again with food coma lol. I think SFGAM should have more chain restaurants. The burger place in the county fair food court has terrible burgers. Basically cafeteria food. :( Yuck!

Well according to screamscape, the only thing interesting is that the parks will most likely be getting more flats. See, Shapiro is so lucky I was never responded to about my, oh, 3 tries at contacting any of them.

Come on. No one asked about Chang, AT ALL?!!?!??

Chang's reveal at a Six Flags park for 2011 will most likely be the biggest addition to any park in the chain: including SFMM

^It is NOT going to Magic Mountain. They're not stupid enough to put the 2nd longest stand up coaster next to the longest stand up coaster. They would lose out on marketing.

I don't think Onyx meant that it would go to SFMM. I think he meant that wherever Chang goes will be the biggest addition in 2011 which I agree with since it will be the biggest coaster installation in 2011.

Only 4 parks come to mind and in this order where I think Chang (and whatever new name it gets) goes.

1. SFGAm
2. SFSTl
3. SFGAdv
4. SFA
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Even if we get a Giga Coaster (not saying we will) in 2011, Six Flags will find a way to give magic mountain a better gift.

A 500 ft. Hyper. Fun Fun :). Anyways Chang is most likely to be our "gift" and Wolfie is most likely to be another parks.

Great Adventure has Kingda Ka...which is newer than our Superman (Last major ride added to our park). Forget them

According to The Transcript, even Shapiro says the Dark Knight was badly themed to the film.

I wouldn't mind Chang going to SFAm, Give it to a Park that Could Use. Either them or The Great Escape.

Sorry to ruin the party but, aren't we one of the parks that has the highest attendance, and brings in the most profits? And we don't get a good ride? Doesn't add up.

Also, where do you find this transcript?

It adds up perfectly. We have no real direct competition, so they add next to nothing, people still show up cause they have no other option and we continue to be a cash cow for the chain. SFMM, SFGAdv and some other parks have to add more big attractions cause there is loads of local competition, people need to be given a reason to go to SFMM over Disney or Knotts or the other half dozen small parks in the area

Shapiro said he can't stand the "slowness", well has he seen the serving times at Great America? I timed how long it took a lady to get me a glass of water, 1:13. It shouldn't take that long, should it?

CP, HW and KI are to far away to really be rivals, people aren't going to have to choose between a day trip to SFGAm or a trip to KI or CP. IB is to small to really compete, also they serve more of indy.

A park with amazing coasters and a crappy waterpark, that everybody goes to for the waterpark. If the waterpark is closed, that place is dead.

Shapiro is a smart businessman. He also seems down to earth. I posted a comment about how the park is being operated on another thread. Basically I said that this is business were talking about! Families bring in = M.O.N.E.Y. Shapiro is doing a great job in improving the theme park to become more family oriented. I have complained on some of the decisions the park is making, but the decisions Shapiro is making outweighs my complaints (mainly because mine are just about the condition of the park theme :D)

ANYWYAS...BACK ON TOPIC...

Did anyone ever go to this event and can tell us what questions were presented, and answered?!

Exactly. If the park has one of the highest attendance marks in the chain, why do they need to send another coaster to the park? There's the point of diminishing returns, which states that you can pump as much capital into a business as you want, but will not see an increase in profit. Since there are no other large parks close to SFGAm, the park is probably already close to this point. Now, they can send Chang somewhere else where it will really boost attendance over what it is currently.

Not just you david, but everyone who says SFGAm deserves Chang: stop confusing yourselves. YOU really want Chang to be here. This park doesn't suck as much as some people here seem to think it does. Yes, I would really like Chang to come to SFGAm, but it doesn't have to. It's still a good park without it.

^I dont know it seems were missing an edge on our parks lineup.
SFMM
Ridlers, Superman, Goliath, Scream ect.

SFGA
Kingda Ka, Nitro, Bizarro, El Toro

SFGAm
RB, Am Eagle, Batman, Superman

Really? Does one of the top attendance parks deserve to have two clones in its top 4 rides?

Apparently with these clones, SFGAm is one of the top attendance parks, so yes, 2 clones work just fine.

Not to mention SFMM Goliath is a near clone and Scream is a cloned ride as well.

for SFGAdv Kingda Ka for all intents and purposes is a near clone and Bizarro was cloned (seeing as you include our Batman).

2 clones seems to be the recipe for success.
