Little Dipper location Chat

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Corkscrew 07 on January 8th, 2010, 12:33 am
1. Looney Tunes and DC are both owned by the same company.

2. Whoever said Snow White is a good relevant ride is a moron. Dark Knight is themed better then that POC.

3. BBNP is in desperate need of refreshing regardless of what happens with Dipper. Net Climb, and Looney Tunes Lodge have been closed for who knows how long, and the other three rides are old, boring, and falling apart by the looks of them. We have better, fresher, nicer versions of those rides elsewhere in the park. Now I'm a big fan of the looney tunes, (who were meant for adults when they were orginally released 50-some odd years ago, and since our society regards animation as being a format specifically designed for children (which I disagree with) they have become known as kids cartoons and kids characters over the years). I think that they are still a valuble asset to represent Six Flags, but BBNP has gotten stale.

4. Stop whining about all the empty space in the park. We all know that Shuttle Area, Trailblazer Area, Splash Area, etc... are vacant, and I imagine stuff will go there eventually. Revel in the fact that your park has the space to expand, and to continue to offer new and better experiances (once SFI is out of bankruptcy that is, which could be as soon as March if Avenue Capital has their way).

End Rant.

I have to agree, empty space may suck now, but in the future when Six Flags is better off and more financially stable it can only mean good things.

Yes. I think the mods tried to regulate the argument. So I'll end it.

^Bugs Bunny National Park.

But I believe the kid section is called Looney Tunes National Park.

The area was renamed in 2006 because Bugs Bunny is a more recongnizable name than Looney Tunes.

WTF?!?!? Who are you mods trying to impress? That kinda pisses me off that you would delete posts like that, unless it was inapropriate or whatever.
Freedom of speech. Arguments happen. Deal with it.

Maybe i'll state my opinion (again).
What I said earlier:

I didn't know that Six Flags got DC from us. I knew looney toons was from us because of this picture:
http://www.rcdb.com/726.htm?p=12155" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Now why the %$#& would you need to delete that?

Now, that post was supposed to be right before corckscrew 07's post.
Thank you, I didn't realize they were owned by the same company.

Thank you for complicating things, mods.

The conversation was deleted because most of the posts were pointless and the topic had become impossible to follow. I tried to read the topic post after post and it made no sense at all.

Ok, back on topic now. I think there would be room for a flat ride there too, if that was the location dipper is going.

I understand that, but next time please leave the posts that were on topic/made sense.

BUT ANYWAYS, my theory of them re-theming the area to Kiddieland probably won't happen, otherwise they would have purchased the sign.

I kinda liked how BBNP fit with the Youkon Territory theme.

Yeah, it'd be great if they'd put in a plaque or something in honor of Kiddieland.

Don't really want to add to this, but this is a moderated forum and the mods can delete what they want, when they want, for whatever reason they want. I think generally the mods here are pretty lenient and fair. For unmoderated discussion RRC/Usenet is right around the corner.

Even though the Looney Tunes aren't as popular as in years past with kids, at least Geico hired Elmer Fudd for a commercial. :D

OK! Now! Let's discuss the topic!

So far, we have:

- Total Removal; Dipper in this space
- Removal of most rides; Dipper fits there
- Kiddieland re-theme
- Thomas Town re-theme

^ That is what I was thinking as well. Will have to be slightly closer to the Yankee Harbor bridge though, since it cannot go over the service road.

Or you can put it parallel to the service road, and rip out everything in LTNP except Looney Tooter. But what do I know?

^But that would leave the climbing area (whatever it's called), which has been closed for years. Plus if it was parallel to the service road like you suggested, it would not be visible to people walking by.

I would say Little Dipper will go parallel with the service road also.

They could squeeze it along the service road and still keep Looney Tunes Lodge which I hope they wouldn't get rid of. I used to have a blast in there with my daughter when she was short enough. Adults were having just as much fun as the kids.

Just move the 2 flats to the other side of the area

Hasnt that been defunct?
