Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
I'm guessing except for just the seats themselves, that is an entirely new train (unrelated to the holding brake problem).

I do know that they take off trains in winter....even though it should be obvious to you. Some Trains take longer to put on, like V2, because it does not have a switch track like SuperMan or Raging Bull.

Yes, it is a new train except for the seat covers and the harnesses. As for how they add and remove the train you can see the track is missing if you at the very right of the picture. Bob I think you should go to the park and see what the maintenance guys do in the off season and then you should complain.

Thanks for the clear-up on the the fact that it's a new train... But was there ever a problem w/ the holding brakes? If so, is it fixed now or is it still being worked on at the same time the cars are being put on?

I don't think there's a problem with it. But every once and a while, the Hold fails to catch the train. I seen that in another post on this site somewhere a long time ago...last season I think.

Whatever guys, I figured maybe someone had some information from a pic OR SOME OTHER SOURCE, not just from someone seeing the ride, maybe from emailing Six Flags Great America(which I did but still no response), or knowing someone that works there... You guys don't have to go all crazy on me.

Being the Intamin POS that it is they had major repairs to do (other than the holding break) which are being worked on now, from what ive heard the holding break will not be working when the ride re-opens.

Went there today and what you saw from Jonrev pics is still the same, same place by the spike with like 4 cars on it.

yeah, looks like nothing was worked on. Fun Machine is still closed. Does anybody know why, was a little more busy today but SUF still had one train which is killing the wait on that ride with the flash pass people.

Well this topic really died! Lets make predictions on when this ride will re-open! I'm going to bet on beginning of May.
