There might not be air conditioning in the actual ride building, but that air in the other parts must get to that ride building because it's doesn't feel like 90 degrees in there. The one room that it feels quite warm is in the video room.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
In the preshow as far as I know there is little to no AC or Heat but like you said it does get rather warm in there. Now that Six Flags is running 10 cars they can fit way more people in that room and just think about it logically...110 people in a room for five mins and then it happens again over and over all day long its bound to get pretty hot inside that box just from the body heat.
^^^I don't ignore anything. I only make about 2-3 visits per year so I want to see, hear & enjoy everything. I STILL don't understand the extensive panning of Dark Knight these days when so many parks get nothing for years.
But TDK is a really big success for the "Family" Element. I was to see the "Thrill" at SFGAm.....IF Superman brought a bu-load of guests.....just imagine.
^And to add on that, it's been 5 years, and it still had 3 hour lines.
I personally want to buy the Looney Tune DVD's just for memory.

Agreed...
See, I still don't see people complaining about this coaster. I mean, its not like we would have gotten something else...its a theater! And that show wasn't that popular anyway so I think it was a good idea...because it was a credit
I like that they put a coaster in that area, but I wish they would have just made it more interesting. What appeal is there going around a corner and nothing being there? Halfway through my first ride on it, I was bored! Half the time I couldn't even see the scenery because we were flying past it so fast.
Even the pre-show, which i thought was the best part of the ride, felt a little bit too long last time I saw it. I like the idea of it, but I think with better execution it could have been a really really great ride.
I'm glad we don't have that theater anymore. I remember seeing some shows in there and there not really being a great audience. After they took the magic shows out of there in 2002, I felt like that theater just went down the crapper.
I see now though, and I understand. Even though I went more days and went for less operating hours because I got bored so fast. There were at least 4 visits, out of 13, were I stayed for less then 2 hours. And I only went 3 times where I stayed from open-close (opening day, fright fest sunday, closing day).
near the end of the season i rode the dark knight and i felt like something was missing in the que line after that little movie i rember that there was a cople joker cards there at the beggining of the season when it open and at the end of the season they were gone someone must have stolen them right???????????
I almost had a heart attack after the park closed on TDK's opening day walking through the line, when that morning everything was shiny and new by that night it was completely destroyed. A bunch of gates were broken from people sitting on them, crap was written on the walls, people peeled paint off of the poles outside the theater, and of course a bunch of those cards were ripped off the wall. A lot of it had to do with poor design (they shouldve been expecting people to sit on those no-latch gates) etc, but any time you get thousands of a**holes walking through one space in a matter of a few hours things like that are going to happen. Luckily it all got fixed pretty quick, they repainted the queue line/took out a lot of the broken gates and there were zipties in the crew room so the signs that people ripped off could be rehung. Havent been there in awhile so IDK how it looks now, id imagine its not as much of a problem now that the line moves faster (with the amount of FP's they sell now thats debatable) but anyway, upkeeping that queue line was a project .
I remember seeing it all nice and clean on opening day then being shocked a few days later to see all the damage done to it. I knew the Joker Cards wouldn't last more than a day and the gates seemed real cheap when they were first installed. I think they may have used poor quality paint on the Theater Royale exterior because I watched people in front of me easily peeling it off, in big strips sometimes. People are such pigs.
I think every time I walked through that last part of the line leading up to the "joker mask screen" thing it looked like the metal walls had been repainted again since the last visit.
----The only real problem I have with it after thinking about it during this off-season is simple. Dark Knight Coaster is not dark enough. You see so much of the ride before hand there are no surprises. You an see the walls, doors, etc. It ruins the mood. I don't know how they can make it a bit more dark but it would definitely help I think setting the tone and honestly if you are going to use props make sure they don't look like you bought them from Target. ---- Still a good ride. I have absolutely no desire to try out Ragun Cajun no w that I have been on Dark Knight and Opa at Mt. Olympus but TDKC was way too over-hyped in my opinion. With Six Flags ear 2008/2009 you have to keep your expectations low. Mine weren't low enough but I did not expect God knows what from that ugly gray box. 7/10 Probably #8 or #9 fave ride at the park. Oh, and by the way I wasn't blown away by the movie either. Stale ending and no pay-off for the audience and Heath Ledger WTF? What happened to the Joker? He should have been in the final scenes too! Boo! 7.5/10
