Thats what I was wondering, if Great America can go over a road or something. I know Over Georgia's Goliath goes over a road.
No SFGAm rides will be going over any public roads. They dont own any property on other sides of roads anymore/no way the city would allow it because of driver distraction (things are a bit different in Georgia/Pennsylvania).
Bucaneer Battle, I got a question. Why dont they build it where Splash Water Falls was cause they already got all the water pumps there.
Those pumps corroded and worthless (kind of like the rest of SWF was before it was removed ), and probably dont work anymore.
Six Flags can make a bunch of money if they did kind of what they didi at MAgic Mountain. Build Scream in the employee parking lot and make them pay in the general parking. lol.
They build Scream in the employee parking lot? Seriously, SFGam has room in the back of the employee parking. I don't know if that land belongs to them but it shouldn't be that expensive. You could make a long queue line to challenge that off AE to get to a coaster all the way by employee parking. I still think a dive machine is the perfect option. Floorless would be awesome too.
Six Flags Needs one more 4 person rows roller coaster. A B&M Dive's line would move very quickly. And I know now the Six Flags now only makes/buys high capacoty ride. Bucanneer battle is probably one of them.
^Honestly. I the Dive Machine spiel wasn't a rumor. It would be the perfect addition the the park. It doesn't take up that much space, it's not a WHOLE lot of money for a high thrill roller coaster, and it would attract SO many people. I remember when I went to Tampa for SheiKra, the concierge at the hotel was like, it has a VERTICAL DROP, blah blah blah! Like, just the aspect of straight-down blows everyone's mind. I think if Iron Wolf dies one day, and can't be salvaged, it would go PERFECT in that back corner.

Those actually have a pretty small capacity, don't they?
One of the reasons that Buccaneer Battle was chosen was because of its capability to get massive amounts of riders at a time. Those whom I have discussed with this about believe that BB could get approximately 1800 riders in one hour which is far better than many other rides at SFGAm maybe ranking up there with the Scenic Railway and the Flume Rides. From what I can conclude this Splash Battle will have continuous loading similar to The Dark Knight. If you do the simple math TDK is 4 riders per car and gets about 900 riders an hour Buccaneer Battle has 8 riders per boat and should get 1800 its just twice as many people. if they both have 10 cars/boats running at the same time that's the possibility of having either 40/80 people on the ride at anyone time.

The road is on SFOG's grounds. It's there own road. It's not something like Grand Ave in Gurnee. SFOG has a back parking lot, and one in the front. They have two different ways of getting in. If I'm thinking correctly, they have something like a toll booth (like we have coming from main entrance) which is a straight road towards the back parking lot. Over that road, they have the coaster going into I thought was grassy area with a little water. It has a fence around it. The back parking lot is the bigger of the two.

Believe me, on well staffed days in the afternoon, no they don't...
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
For all these people who want a new coaster, to replace IW, or expand into the Employee parking lot, lot at what SFGAm has. We have gotten TWO BRAND NEW RIDES for this year and next year. SFNE and SFGAdv are both getting ride "makeovers" and not brand new rides.
This park has an exceptional amount of attractions, and almost no room to expand. Sure, The Dark Knight was a piece of crap, but it brought people in. SFGAm advertised a BRAND NEW ride for the park. They are going to do this next year too, in fact, they already have!
Look at SFKK and SFA, have you seen them get anything of TDK and BB quality in the past five years? Sure SFMM gets a lot of crap. They NEED it. The closest major theme park near SFGAm is 5 hours away (with the exception of Kiddieland) SFMM has to compete with Knott's, DISNEY, Marriot's, and SeaWorld.
Let me just say, SFGAm is one of the better parks in the SF chain.
poor wolfie rip ( hopewe get a neww bm wingrider for next year!11!
yeah but there not major thrilling rides and i really think were fine how we are now if you look at the other parks we are actually quite lucky to have what we have.
I dont know why people get mad. I just can stand 3-4 years without no new thrill ride or coaster. But we have so many. And good ones in fact.
I have no clue why people are complaining about Wiggle's World sometimes. There useto be a kids park inthe location across Orbit. The kids area was part of my childhood when my mom would take me on the planes and we would go on the chain linked boats. They took out the area and added a new themed area somewhere else. So we use to have 3 kids areas but now 2 then now now 3. Look at all the rides we have and look at all the ones kids have. And ours take up 80 times more room.
I posted these in my TR, but figured I would post them here as well.
On closing day, I noticed they added a few more items in the Season Pass Processing Center for Buccaneer Battle.
First, we have the "Fact Sheet"
Then, we have some "Concept Photographs"
As I have said in the past, I am looking forward to Buccaneer Battle. After looking at the photo's and concept art that the park has put out, it really looks like it will be a well themed and fun attraction.
Of course, we all said the same about TDK back in Feb/March of 2008, and we all know how that went. Not that I hate TDK, but I expected a lot more from the concept drawings that were released.
Hopefully, Buccaneer Battle lives up to the drawings and photo's.
Whats retarded is that my 24(almost) year old brother can't wait to go on it. Especially since it has no flash pass and is a new attraction, expect LONG lines in the peak months of July/August. I hope it goes well for them. Lord knows they need some good news. I simply wish our next attraction has nothing to do with families and a low price tag ride from MACK.
