Official Buccaneer Battle/2009 Attraction Thread
Theres been some buzz about SFMMs new coaster being announced soon, so I would expect the new additions to GAm to be announced soon also (before FF starts) in order to sell 2009 season passes.
I think it will be announced about 2-3 days before FF starts.

I don't no when it will be announced, but I hope it is soon. I really want to no what we are getting!
This is so hilarious, people just waiting to be dissapointed, but just think of the surprise it would be for us if it was announced that our new attraction would be a B&M Dive Machine, ahh the irony it would be.......

I'm really getting annoyed in the fact that all these people are complaining saying things like
"Dark Knight is a piece of crap waste of money. I want something better!" or "I hope we dont get some crappy splash battle" we have been spoiled to get something worth talking about every year some parks dont get new additions for years and here we are complaining about how the new ride might be crappy be happy that we are getting anything at all

A big splash huh? That could be any of the 3 rumors.

I am pretty sure that it won't be a dive machine but it would be so cool if it was. Right now the only ride that I can see use getting is a splash battle.
well lets deal with our piece of crap ride anyway, we still have RB, BTR and SUF!!!!

They have started site prep for the 2009 attaction. There are construction fences around the entire Deja Vu area. There is also a lot of construction equipment.

Splash battle wouldn't be such a bad thing. It would atract families and would be a fun ride on blistering hot days. It would also be nice to have another water ride after loosing SWF.
I doubt where getting a dive machine. Why would theere be that crane there and signs that read "Come ashore with us in 2009" if we were getting a Dive Machine in the rumored spot. But there has been "mystery" Dive machine parts at a plant in Ohio, but it could be going anywhere.
Finally some construction work...good sign cause what we had since May was a bunch of...nothing and dirt/broken concrete.

I think knowing how Six Flags always spoils Great Adventure or Magic Mountain, I'd sooner think they would get it.

Definitely Great Adventure, they have a lot of room to expand.
BUT what if it's not for Six Flags? "I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
I seriously doubt it is ANY SF park. I would be very shocked if it was for a SF park.
Magic Mountain is already getting a woddie so I don't think it is them. Great Adventure has a biggie with Kinga Ka which is still new along with El Toro. We really do deserve it more. Why am I talking about a dive machine? All signs point to splash battle...

^I'm still the only one who doesn't want a dive machine. I hope Great Adventure gets it. A park like that needs to live up to its reputation.
