Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I like it more when it banks at high speed by the grass, you can actually reach and touch it!!!

Not to be rude, but Whizzer or talking about Whizzer and it being as smooth as a teddy bear isn't what will replace SWF and Vu. Anyways, let's keep the conversations off the board and please read this topic.

Let's try to continue talk about what should replace Vu and SWF.

ON the subject of Vu and Splash, I'm currently working on a "Just for Fun" project and creating a Five Year Plan to increase Guest Service Standards and Improving the Guest Expericane at Six Flags. One of my ideas is to use the opportunity of the spotlight on County Fair Provided by Wiggles/Vu/and Splash to re-theme the area. The Idea I'm currently playing with is to keep the County Fair theme, but move it's location. I want to use the opportunity to theme it to a New England/Martha's Vineyard style Massachusetts or Connecticut town. Obviusly it's an area that embodies the patriotic theme on it's own, so not much would be done with Revy Plaza, and Wiggles would be untouched. The Train Station would be re-painted but little else, and Totally Tweety would be replaced with the "Kingston Seafood Grill" Full Service Restaurant.

The Area I'm having trouble with is the Area between Farmer's Market and Demon. I think General The Food Court will be the same, but what to do with the other side of the street? And of course I would want to improve Demon's Themeing, I actually have the whole Idea that to incorporate a Lighthouse into the Station Area to Enclose it. And then there's the area across the street...Vu's Spot.

I think the first area I'm looking for Ideas is other Park's Rides. I Don't feel that after a year about theming, and the experiancial based Dark Knight, that a simple outdoor coaster would be embraced. I'm not saying I don't like coasters, I love them, but I'm looking outside the coaster field, which is why I've also said I wouldn't want a Tony Hawk Coaster.

One of the Obvious Solutions in my mind is Scooby Doo. But I woudln't want SFSTl's Swamp, as it wouldn't fit in with the New England Theme. SFFT has the ride as well, in a fairly simple Haunted House, and I enjoyed the attraction immensely. I think that one will be headed to Splash's Spot, Merely becasue It would be easy to Manipulate the layout to fit inside Raceway.

So I think I'm asking you to think outside the box, I'm looking through Warner Bros. Intellectual proporty but I'm not sure exactly how much the Six Flags/Warner Bros. Contract extends.

Any Thoughts? Anyone?

I think one very important ride SFGAm is missing is a ferris wheel. I loved Sky Whirl when it was around. I would rather have just a regular giant ferris wheel though. That could definitely attract families, and I think it would be a great addition to the park. It could replace Vu, SWF, or SSA. I really would love to see a ferris wheel in our park.

^I agree. It was nice to be able to sit in the cabins on sky whirl with family or friends and just sit back and relax the view. It would be nice to have another ride to provide that same experience...

I also would love to see a Ferris Wheel pop up somewhere in County Fair.

The thing I'm wondering is if this possible new coaster in DV/SWF location does come to be, what will become of Great American Raceway? After all, SWF was smack dab in the center of it, and I really hope it doesn't get removed. Aside from Revolution, and Fidder's Fling, this is the only other non-coaster ride in County Fair(not counting the train, or Dare Devil Dive).
I am probably the lone person that would be happy with a small coaster in DV's spot, and a nice flat or two in SWF's spot.

Plus, it's always been my wish that they will one day get rid of(or move) that rock climbing wall, and add a flat ride there.
Finally Coaster Season!!

^ My guess is if the rumor regarding a Dive Machine (or any coaster) occupying both site is true, Raceway should still be safe. There's no reason the track couldn't go over or under Raceway (since its going to have to go over or under the midway anyway).

^And no one said it cant go over the midway. All they would have to do is put a support footer in the middle of the path...i don't think it would be that big of a deal.

To be honest, i would hate to see a dive machine at SFGAM. I really dont see a need for one because i think that they are (as dvu was) a waste of space and money. They are huge coasters with low ride times, low capacity, slow rider through put, few elements, and a small adrenaline rush. I would much rather see a ferris wheel and THOMAS TOWN before i see a dive machine.

^Have you been on a B&M Dive machine?

Low capacity? Low ride time? Slow rider throughput?

None of the 3 that you mentioned above even come close.

These are people eaters and please alot of guests. Until you know what the hell you are talking about, I suggest you refrain from posting.

Thanks for playing though.

Here's an idea: Wherever Deja Vu used to be could be the station for this new ride, and in the spot of Demon there could be a huge tower like the one on Top Thrill Dragster, then the coaster could whiz across Southwest Territory and where Splashwater is there could be a ride layout just like the Joker's Jinx, and then another bunnyhop at the end.

I'm just kidding about the Demon thing, that ride's never gonna come down.

Or else there could be a coaster that flies over the County Fair midway (at least 70 feet off the ground for safety's sake) and the elements would be on the spots of Deja Vu and Splashwater Falls.

Two crazy ideas of mine that'll never come to pass. 8)

I would really prefer not to have a dive machine as well, what I really want to see, is a Scooby Doo Dark Ride in Deja Vu's Spot, Preferably the SFFT one over the SFSTl one because a swamp doesn't exactly fit in the midwest, I'd Also love to see a giant Ferris Wheel in Splash's Spot, I think the view it could provide from that spot, with Dive, Eagle, etc... around it would be quite unique, and both would be fun Family Experiances, that Even me, Someone who's favorite Ride is Batman would go and see.

SF probably won't put in another dark ride after The Dark Knight.

Or will the Dark Knight be so popular that they can't resist the opportunity to continue to market their product that way?
